Best Tearing Spaces Hero - Advancer Part
August 14th, 2023

The first part of the tournament has come to an end. The next season will happen on Aug 28th. However, Tearing Spaces will hold a different kind of guild war in between. Check their Substack for more details:

This time, players will not be restrained by weapons’ price, all weapons are SSRs at your disposal. It is critical that you pick the correct hero-weapon combo. In this article, we will go through characters and weapons that go quickly through maps to achieve victory. Data and articulations are all base on our own experience during the season 1 tournament.

Weapon

First of all, if you want to clear the map as fast as possible, always select weapons that have DEV as their Destiny Stats. This attribute allows you to deal extra damage to monsters.

These Weapons are categorized as Invaders. They are much faster at clearing maps than any other weapons. Currently, there are four such weapons in-game:
Remains of Aeolus     Sylph's Gift     Neptune's Spiral Sword     Ra's Corona Bow

All are super good at clearing monsters since all deal a great amount of AOE damage. However, only Remains of Aeolus is undoubtedly the tier 0 invader. Although the Remains of Aeolus does not have a crazy AOE range, it deals numerous amounts of damage to a single target.
Using Tearing Wind, you can apply a Vulnerable effect on your enemies. Making your and your teammates' attack much more damaging. Besides the Vulnerable effect, Tearing Wind also deals a ton of damage, and it has a super short cooldown time. Its second skill, Wind Spirit, summons a wind spirit shooting arrows in the direction of your basic attack. The spirit can also shoot an arrow of Tearing Wind when you cast the skill. It can almost double your damage and it has two stacks.
Basically, Remains of Aeolus is the Boss killer, and with the ability to apply vulnerable effects, it is not bad in prior maps either. As a team, you might not want to equip three of them since the vulnerable effect does not stack, but you definitely need one if you want to speedrun to victory.

Hero

As the thumbnail suggested, Relagu, Meztli and Xiuhte are the Heroes to choose from if you want to dominate monsters. Meztli is the top one, but Relagu and Xiuhte are not bad either. Also, keep in mind that Ultimate will change if you are equipped with a weapon from a different class. Here we are only discussing the situation where they are equipped with Invader weapons.
The Invader Ultimate for Relagu is super strong. It deals plenty of AOE to monsters, and it will not stop until the original target is dead, or out of range. Relagu has three talents that help you with killing monsters: Azure Artifact, Crimson Artifact, and Iron Covenant. Azure Artifact appear when monsters are killed by your team, and it shoots a fast and long-range bullet at other monsters. This skill is super effective if it appears on the first map. Crimson Artifact can be summoned by dealing a certain amount of damage, but it shoots only slow and short-range bullets. This skill is more effective in the boss room than in monster rooms. Iron Covenant allows you to summon a machine on top of everyone’s head and shoot laser beams in circles and deal damage to those who touched the beam.
Nonetheless, the above-mentioned talents are all N-Talents, which means you can only get to select two of them even when you are lucky. Relagu’s S-Talents are pretty good, but none of them are suitable for killing the boss.

Although Xiuhte does not have powerful Ultimate, it does have some nice talents. Divine Resurgence gives you a boost in damage as time passes, and Precision Kill allows you to deal extra damage in a really short time period (under 1s). But the rest of the talents are, at best, mediocre. They either boost the damage of the Ultimate which does not do a lot of damage originally, or they require you to trade in your precious attacking time.
Additionally, the Divine Resurgence takes a lot of time to stack. It is super worthy if both teams are battling and you cannot speedrun the map, but not so much if you all are focusing on the monsters since the game will be over without you stacking it up.

At last, We have Meztli. This is my favourite one, and she is crazy good at killing through maps. There are four super useful talents:
Soul Order - Moon Shade - Eclipse - Glory Return
Soul Order, Moon Shade, and Eclipse are all N-talents. If only one of them showed up in your talent bar, pick them without any thinking. But if they all popped at once, there needs to be some more considerations.
Moon Shade deals damage to all the monsters on the map, but she gets a Weak 2 debuff if there are more than three targets. If you see your opponent harassing you very often, that Weak 2 will put you in a very vulnerable place. But if you can advance fast enough, your opponents cannot even touch you, not to mention killing you. between Soul Order and Eclipse, Soul Order is definitely the talent to pick if you want to kill the boss faster, but Eclipse allows you to clear monsters faster. Both work in a similar fashion. You shoot something to do damage after dealing a certain amount of damage. Soul order does roughly 4 times more damage to a single target but only requires 3 times more damage to trigger. The choice is yours to make.

What really makes Metzli overpowered is her Ultimate and her S-talent: Glory Return. Her Invader Ultimate, Moon Blast, deals a great amount of damage in a small area. Despite it is not instantly cast, it does much more damage than basic attacks in the same time frame. Plus, it has 10 stacks. The S-talent, Glory Return, increase the MoonBlast’s damage 50%, which makes this the most powerful skill in the entire game, especially so in the boss room.
