Aleo Summary of 2023/2/2 Twitter meeting

February 2nd, 2023

1、Phase 2 is officially over!

2、Mainnet is planned for end of Q2/early Q3!

3、Plans for the next two quarters:

① snarkOS:

- BFT, decentralizing the consensus model. During Phase 2, there was only 1 beacon on the network. During Phase 3, there will be several beacons participating in consensus, and everyone will be able to stake on them and earn rewards!

- Economics update.

- There will be a blogpost posted on Phase 3!

- Phase 3 will start in March-April-May

② snarkVM + Leo:

- Deploy & execute features! Soon the demo of them should be published!

- Finalize function.

- Arrays in Leo! They are hard to implement in ZK (as well as strings), but the work is in progress!

- Marlin batch proof! In Aleo, 1 transaction consists of 64 state transitions, so it requires batch proving. However, that way the proving time is much faster!

- Explorer + Faucet + Wallet!

4、Documentation update will be published within the next 2 weeks!

5、There will be no more ambassador requirements after the Mainnet! But before that, ~250 people will be recruited!

6、The amount of credits earned in Phase 2 might differ in Phase 3.

7、Is there going to be a way to update deployed programs? -- Right now, the ability to update programs is not on the pre update roadmap, but this feature is very important for devs, and it will potentially be an area where you all contribute to!

8、Are you considering fighting or sorting out sybils in the pre-mainnet phase? -- Yes, if detected, they will not receive Mainnet rewards.

9、What are you guys thinking as far as bridges to other chains? -- Bridging is a great use case of zk technology, especially looking at bridging to ETH.

11、Will delegation of stake be done through a program or offchain? -- There might be a wrap of credits that you would unwrap and be back in the system.
