Explain to me like I am 10 years old. :) What is Based Nouns?

Based Nouns is like an online clubhouse where friends come together to build things. We have DAO tokens that give holders the power to decide what fun things we do. We're also collecting and creating cool NFTs and helping friends bring their awesome ideas to life.

It's a fun place on the internet, and we'd love to have creatives, visionaries and nounish people join us from all walks of life.

How did Based Nouns start? What’s the founding story?

Based Nouns began as a spark of inspiration ignited by the groundbreaking concept of NounsDAO, which I believe to be one of the best ideas if not the best idea to come out of web3.

Witnessing the potential and believing in the transformative power of the Base L2 Network, powered by Coinbase, I saw an opportunity to contribute to the vision of a coming premier superchain.

Within days of the Base network announcement, it felt like a match made in heaven, and Based Nouns came to life. This project was born out of the belief in community-driven initiatives, aligning with the spirit of NounsDAO and the promising future of the Base L2 Network.

It's a journey fueled by passion and a shared vision for the evolving landscape of web3. Let me add that not only the Nounish pixels but Coinbase holds a special place in my heart as I have been a customer for years and it was where I made my first Bitcoin purchase in 2016.

What brings me immense pride is the dedicated community members who embraced the vision from the outset, contributing their expertise pro bono, and remaining steadfast in their commitment to building our project.

Where do you see Based Nouns in 1 year?

Growing Community Impact: The community-driven approach could lead to the realization of impactful projects, potentially fostering collaborations with other web3 initiatives and making a positive mark on both the digital and real-world landscapes.

Enhanced Governance: The DAO could evolve with more sophisticated governance mechanisms, empowering community members to play an even greater role in decision-making and shaping the trajectory of Based Nouns.

Why did you choose to launch .based ID?

Launching .based ID is driven by the vision to create a distinctive socialFi DApp that goes beyond traditional digital identities. We aim to provide users with a unique .based domain, offering a personalized and memorable online presence.

The goal is to foster a sense of community where users can interact, chat, and seamlessly send crypto tokens within the DApp, elevating the concept of digital identity to a more engaging and functional level.
