Highlights of Jólnir, Apha-5 Testnet in a month

It's been a month since we introduced Jólnir, our Alpha-5 testnet.

Let's take a closer look at how it's been performing!

Understanding Jólnir

Jólnir stands out due to its innovative Proposer-Builder Separation (PBS)-inspired proposing and proving design. In this setup, proposers must obtain a bond from provers to suggest a block, while provers need TTKOj test tokens to secure the bond. This unique framework enhances network liveness and eliminates the need for staking pools, simplifying the overall design and allowing prover pools to function off-chain.

Jólnir Prover and Proposer Milestones

In just one month, we've witnessed impressive achievements on both the prover and proposer fronts.

A total of 2,277 distinct provers successfully generated a validity proof for a Taiko block.

On the proposer side, 5,176 unique proposers effectively proposed Taiko blocks.

These achievements highlight the robustness of the Jólnir network.

A Glimpse into the Stats

Here are some noteworthy statistics from our Jólnir testnet:

  • 3,172,554 transactions were processed within this short timeframe.
  • 759,828 blocks were created, contributing to the network's consistency.

  • 510,852 wallet addresses actively participated in the Jólnir ecosystem.

  • Remarkably, users deployed an impressive 189,431 smart contracts on Jólnir, showcasing its vast potential.
