May 1st, 2022

With the advent of the 22nd world first aid day, the Red Cross Foundation of China announced that it would, together with the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the Beijing Red Cross Society, donate “all-in-one emergency rescue machine” to schools in Beijing with the support of Tencent charity foundation. The all-in-one machine is equipped with AED and first aid kit, and will gradually be fully covered in primary and secondary schools and ordinary high schools in Beijing.

On September 10, the Red Cross Society of China held a press conference on “world first aid day” in 2021

Donate equipment to warm the heart and protect the life safety of teachers and students

The theme of world first aid day 2021 is “being an first aid hero in the school community”. Tencent Charitable Foundation donated 35 million yuan to the Red Cross Foundation of China to promote the “all-in-one emergency rescue machine” into the campus. The Red Cross Foundation of China will cooperate with the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the Beijing Municipal Red Cross Society to configure “all-in-one emergency rescue machine” for primary and secondary schools and ordinary high schools in Beijing to improve the level of first aid on campus and consolidate the ability of campus security. The donated “all-in-one emergency rescue machine” will further link inside and outside the school to respond to the first aid needs of the school and surrounding communities. At the same time, relying on the all-in-one machine equipped for the school, it will also carry out emergency rescue knowledge popularization and skill training for the school and surrounding communities, and advocate the public to start from me and around me, learn first aid, know first aid and dare to first aid.

Bei Xiaochao, vice president and Secretary General of China Red Cross foundation, introduced the pilot exploration of China Red Cross Foundation in building a digital emergency rescue system in schools and communities

Scientific and technological innovation, emergency rescue solutions

In recent years, the promotion and allocation of AED in public places has become the focus of attention. Fully and reasonably allocating AED equipment and first aiders is one of the ways to improve the success rate of first aid. Therefore, in addition to the equipment donation at the hardware level, in July this year, the Federation of the Red Cross Society of China reached a strategic cooperation with Tencent to jointly build the “first aid treasure” of the public service system of emergency rescue. Xiangshan laboratory group of China Red Cross Foundation and Tencent sustainable social value division (Tencent SSV) is developing “first aid treasure”, giving full play to Tencent’s technology and product capabilities, and exploring to change “accidental first aid” into “online first aid”.

In August, the Red Cross Foundation of China and Tencent sustainable social value division (Tencent SSV) jointly carried out the training course of “small first aiders” at Shijia primary school in Dongcheng District, Beijing

According to the concept, the “first aid treasure” system can realize the access management and visual presentation of the basic information of national AED equipment and first aid volunteers, open up the “two isolated islands” of emergency rescue equipment and first aid volunteers, establish a socialized mutual aid network, realize rapid positioning and real-time response in case of emergencies, improve the emergency efficiency and rescue ability of on-site rescue, and help solve the problems of emergency rescue with scientific and technological means.
