It has come to our attention that we live in a decentralized, democratic society where your vote can make a difference in our ability to launch a Yapper Leaderboard on Kaito.
The Yapper Launchpad is a new Yapper Leaderboard launching mechanism on Kaito Connect: an interactive hub that allows communities to vote and engage with their favorite ecosystems. With the Yapper Launchpad, yappers can help elevate their fellow community members by voting for their favorite community to receive a Pre-TGE Community Leaderboard.
Pre-TGE Community Leaderboards allow community members to be ranked and highlighted based on their relative mindshare and engagement on X. That means you can see how you rank up against other Campers, find other early community members, and see how your work supports the community.

But before we do that, we are going to need Camp to get its own Pre-TGE Community Leaderboard. And in order to do that, we’re going to need the whole Camp to come out and to vote!

If you are an unregistered Yapper, use this link here to sign up—the more people who use this referral link, the more votes James gets to put on Camp.
In order to vote on the Yapper Launchpad, you need to first register to vote (with that link mentioned above). Once registered, the total amount of votes you’ll be eligible for will be determined by your total “Yaps” and “Smart Followers” as follows:
Total Votes = (Voted Yaps Ă— 100) + Voted Smart Followers
Though Yaps are weighted more than Smart Followers, don’t be discouraged if you have little to no Yaps: you’re not alone. With a community of over 90k on X, 40k in Discord, and over 100k on our testnet, Camp has strength in numbers.
Now that you’re registered to vote, head over to Kaito Connect, select Camp, and place your vote.
Voting Periods
Voting on the Yapper Launchpad happens in continuous, seven-day periods. In our case, we’re in the first round beginning on January 24th at 8am EST (1pm UTC) and ending January 30th.
Once your all-important vote is submitted, those votes are locked for the remainder of the voting period. If the seven-day voting period ends and Camp (unfortunately) hasn’t won a round, you do not need to re-vote. All of your voting power will continue to go toward Camp until you choose to redeem your votes! This is a democracy, Campers - one vote, one voice!
That’s not to say we don’t want you supporting your other favorite projects after the Camp leaderboard launches—we’re just a little bit biased about having our leaderboard launching first and we’re excited to have the Camp you’ve been building alongside us recognized as the best community on earth!.
Winning the Vote
During each seven-day voting period, three projects from the Yapper Launchpad are selected for a Yapper Leaderboard launch.
The winning projects are selected each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of a voting period based on whichever project receives the highest total votes on that day. Once Camp (or any other project on the launchpad) wins, they will be removed from the launchpad and have their Yapper Leaderboard launched the following week.
