WHY I DESIGN?| @stazzyart

"I've always been creative with words and images, I used to draw as far back as I remember.

As I got older I got sidetracked from my love for art and got more involved with rapping, spoken word and poetry.

It was only when I posted a little sketch on Instagram and received great praise that I realised art is still something I enjoyed and hadn't lost the ability to play with.

After drawing continuously for a year I decided that this was actually something I could make a living from so I began to take it seriously."

"I currently still work in retail and pursue my dream as a Fine Artist but one day I plan to cut out the day job! - (2016)

Here’s some words of wisdom for creatives to take onboard along their pursuit of a creative career:

Advice One

Be integral in your style, morales and business. Do not become complacent with your actions and always strive for better.

Advice Two

Work hard. Nothing comes over night, it could take 5-10-15 years but if you're confident that this is what you want to do, stick to it.

Advice Three

Don't waste time - you know yourself wether you are good at something, you may have a passion for something but not the skills.

It's okay to be a supporter of what you love if you can’t be directly involved. If you cant do it, keep it moving and find something that you can!"
