WHY I DESIGN? | @Gaps_Art
October 9th, 2022

I Go By The Name Of Gaps,

Based in Boston Framingham, Massachusetts.

If I was honestly to pinpoint one of thing I’m truly passionate about it would be “Self expression”.

My Art style stems from two key aspects of my life

My first, introduction into Graffiti space and Secondly taking heavy influences from the hiphop music genre.

I would strongly advice other creatives to use their unused free time like sitting around doing nothing watching tv to do something more productive.

1) Pick up a craft and just keep working at it and you'll get somewhere.

2) Practice makes near perfect, sounds cliche but it’s cliche for a reason.

I would also say to anyone in the Art field chasing their passion.

Find something you love and become unhealthily obsessed with it!

I love being a creative but I often had to overcome some difficult aspects of the process along the way.

For instance, You'll often see other artists or other creatives in the field doing a lot more or a lot better than you but don't let it get to you.

1) Everyone starts somewhere, and there'll always be someone better than you so just ignore it.

I had to develop this mindset to remain faithful in my craft by knowing what I wanted to do and just continuing to chip away at it.

2) Set achievable goals and just continue to excel. Any progress is good progress.
