Wukong is a trickster and martial artist, floating westbound in the sky of Theirsverse on a somersault cloud and battling the Skeleton Demon. But there is more to the story.

In Wukong’s journey to the West realm, he acquires supernatural power through Taoist practice and receives the nurture of heaven (yang) and earth (yin), bringing balance and the formidable power of yin-yang duality across Theirsverse. Yin-yang represents the duality of life. It signifies how apparently the opposite or contrary forces are actually complementary and interconnected in the natural world, and how they make sense for each other.

Theirsverse sees duality, interactions, and balance between two aspects of every matter. Just like every coin has two sides, The world is not just black or white, good or evil; these notions are only perceptual. These forces are not just the opposites; they complement and co-exist with one another as an indivisible whole.

Everyone has two sides. Yin and Yang are definitely not the opposite sides of a body; they can be fused. In Yin and Yang series, Theirsverse created some traditionally defined binary  symbols: Vampire versus Nun, Angel versus Devil, The Monkey King versus White Bone Demon, Asura versus Magmatron. Even though they are the opposing roles, they complete each other and the story.

In light of yin-yang duality, Theirsverse is about creating harmony in the community and balance between web2 and web3. There will be people whom you cannot seem to agree with --- that does not mean that you cannot accept them for who they are. We find compassion and understanding, share joy and pain, embrace each other’s flaws and imperfections among our community, and ultimately realize we are more alike than different.
