Hello FINEX,
We’ve had a blast organising the Blast-Off Party this couple of weeks and from the feedback, we can tell that you guys have been enjoying it too! Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and therefore, we’re officially announcing that this will be the last wave of the FINX Blast-Off Party.
So if you love being a part of it, make sure you join us in this round. IF, you are, indeed joining, please continue to read as we have made changes to the game rules and scoring system for two of our games, namely Tetris and the Quiz Time Battle.
Before we dive into the new rules, below are the teams that will be competing in the Team Clash Tournament:
Team Alpha
Team Beta
Team Charlie
Team Delta
Team Echo
Team Foxtrot
Team Golf
Team Omega
Now that we have our teams organised, let’s look at the new rules of our games.
It will be held on 6th August 2022 (Tuesday) from 16:00 P.M. — 17.00 P.M.(GMT+8)
Device: PC ONLY
Game Structure
The game structure will be similar to the classic Tetris where players will need to slot different shapes to make a straight line and keep their buildings as low as possible for as long as possible. Note that when you clear a straight line on your building, you’re sending that line to one of your opponents — which will be assigned randomly. So think strategically and work fast.
The game will be done in a pyramid-tier format. What this means is that each team will 1 player to represent their team. Each team will compete in a battle of Tetris to last as long as possible.
After the first round, 2 players with the least amount of time will be eliminated. The game will then restarts and continue to the second round, the semi-final where 4 remaining players will again compete to outlast each other.
At the end of round 2, 2 more players with the least amount of time will be eliminated. For the final round, the final 2 remaining participants will then compete to outlast the other competitor.
Sounds easy to understand? Perfect!
As for the scoring system, it will be based on what stages of the game you are eliminated. You can read more on the scoring system below:
You can start practicing the game at: TETR.IO
It will be held on 7th September 2022 (Thursday) at 16:00 P.M. — 17.00 P.M. (GMT+8)
Device: PC & Mobile device
Game Structure
The new rules are as follows.
Each team has to pick 3 members to participate in this tournament. Every team member’s point is important as it will contribute to the total golds each team will acquire.
There will be about 22 questions for each participant to answer.
When answering correctly for each question, all participants are given a chance to choose 1 out of 3 boxes.
Each box contains a certain amount of gold, usable items, or penalty cards
Usable items include items that allow each participant to use against others; i.e. functions like stealing gold, swapping gold, or increasing gold amount by double or even triple!
So choose wisely as it will affect the amount of gold you would have at the end of the game. As a reminder, note that you can only choose between the 3 mystery boxes once you’ve answered a question right.
Now that you’ve understand how it works, here’s how we calculate the final standing:
Team standing will depend on the total accumulated golds for each team. Which means:
More gold = higher standing

It will be held on 8th September 2022 (Friday) at 16:00 P.M. — 17.00 P.M. (GMT+8)

Game Structure
Guess the Sketch is a game that will require all team members to work together to guess sketches presented to you within a specific amount of time.
-Teams will be shown a total of 8 pictorial quizzes — which consist of rough sketches of things associated with FINX, crypto, or anything in the Web3 sphere and team members can discuss with each other in their own team channel what the sketch represents.
-The team with the most correct answers in the least amount of time will win the game.
In the event of tied scores, teams that are tied will be presented with an additional sketch to guess — the fastest team to guess the correct answer will earn 1 extra point, giving them a higher position.
If there are more than 1 score tie, the step above will be repeated until all the teams’ score is in order.
