I’ve been contributing to a handful of Web3 projects in exchange for ownership. Yet, defining how to split it has often led to frustrating negotiations and a sense of unfairness. I’ve seen contributors—and even founders—part ways after procrastinating on the ownership conversation.
As a founder myself, I’ve witnessed how often ownership splits failed to reflect actual contributions, making it challenging to bring new people into meaningful roles later on. That’s why I decided to work on a model that makes it easy for founders to tackle this early and effectively.
Along the way, I met two other founders who had faced similar experiences. Together, we committed to doing something about it—creating an easy and fair approach to define ownership based on actual contributions.
Collabberry is on a mission to empower Web3 teams with adaptable, contribution-based ownership models that prevent early conflicts and build fairer, more collaborative futures for founders and contributors.
