PuffGo Football Beta is a special test version for users to play during the World Cup 2022. The main goal is to test the functions, game plays, game experience, etc, with another purpose of benefiting users and allocating points for initial token share redemption in 2023. Unlike other GameFi projects, PuffGo is NOT a Play-to-Earn method GameFi, but a Skill-to-Earn method Web 3 gaming. During the gameplay, many of you may have noticed that certain levels/modes require skills in-game and a degree of proficiency.
Games like this always have to face a serious problem - cheating. Especially, when we have rewards of $2,000 per week, as well as the points for initial token redemption in the future, some users may get tricky going for a higher rank. What we want is to encourage users to be familiar with the game and help us improve, so cheating is unacceptable while it’s harming others’ benefits.
Thus, as we mentioned before, if we have detected suspicious behaviors related to cheating, we have the right to retrieve any points that were earned by cheating as well as disqualify these accounts from receiving the USDT rewards. We made certain rules to evaluate, and this post contains the result and the change in ranks.
Rules for Cheat-Check
We picked the suspicious accounts using these metrics:

The Score is insanely high (6-12 per match)

The opposite team is always the same people
-
The opposite team has NFT that belongs to the same address as the user’s team
-
The same team-up with the same opposite team every day
-
The opposite team didn’t do anything including kicking, running, speeding up, etc
If an account triggers anything above, it will be considered a suspicious account for us to dig deeper. We will then go over all the matches the account has, and if this account teamed up with the same people and with the same opposite team while the opposite team doesn’t do anything for more than 4 matches, the account will be disqualified for this round’s rewards.
If you still want to go for a higher rank in the next round, but WITHOUT cheating, the account can still be considered as a qualified account. Let’s make the right call!
Week 1 Eligibility
We have detected 16 accounts that were using improper ways for a higher rank from the top 100 accounts. Their points from 3 ranks last week will all be retrieved and they won’t be getting any USDT rewards.
Since 16 accounts are disqualified, the points will be reallocated to qualified ones. It means accounts that ranked between 51 to 66 can squeeze in and points will be reallocated. For example, you will see that the original rank #8 would be #1 in Football Score Rank with the matching points.
Other than the points reallocation, we also have $2,000 weekly rewards to be distributed.
Distribution will be done shortly.
New Rules for the Ranks
After we detected the cheating behaviors, we also rethink about the reward system and why it triggers so many improper behaviors. Despite the fact that we are Skill-to-Earn, one thing that stands out is the rewards are too top-centered. After the poll in the community and conversations with several volunteers and users, we decided to rearrange the rewards and rank.
Now we have Football Score Rank, Football Match Rank, and Knock-Out Winning Rank for points distribution. Instead of giving $2,000 to the top 10 in Football Score Rank, we decide to give $2,000 weekly to the top 50 in Football Score Rank and the top 50 in Knock-Out Winning Rank.
