SheFi is an organization whose mission centers around educating and onboarding women into DeFi (decentralized finance) and web3/blockchain technology. But SheFi is more than an educational experience. It’s an entire community of women helping and supporting each other on their web3 journeys.
When I began my voyage into DeFi in early 2022, I found myself falling down a rabbit hole in a swirl of chaos. Sure, Crypto Twitter had all the information I needed—and then some. And that’s where I found SheFi! But the sheer amount of information was beyond overwhelming. Plus, it took months to untangle it all and extra effort to determine who the credible players were.
I persevered through it and read my Crypto Twitter feed every day to learn crypto lingo, and that’s when I found and applied to SheFi. I was over the moon to be accepted and even more excited to have a received a scholarship from W3bCloud to attend the program.
Once classes began, I’ve devoured the content each week. I attended the twice-weekly live sessions presented by founder Maggie Love, listened to all the guest speakers, and lived for demo days when teaching assistants showed us how to apply what we learned. I especially looked forward to the weekly quizzes so that I could mint a special NFT badge to show off what I learned.
There’s also the SheFi Discord, where there’s channels to chat with the SheFi community (which includes all the like-minded women who went through the program from the past cohorts). I immersed myself in all the channels—from NFTs to job search advice to extra info about the weekly content.
SheFi is such a supportive community, and the best part is that I’m now a member for life! Thank you Maggie Love, the entire SheFi team, and W3bCloud.
