When Cloud infrastructure first started to proliferate almost a decade ago, many businesses and organizations started their “journey to the cloud”. Many of them experienced difficulty grasping the benefits of this journey, and some were lost entirely. Companies like Amazon and Google flourished during this time, offering user-friendly, on-demand resources coupled with 24/7 support. Like them or not, these pioneers made it possible for cloud technology to be adopted en masse.
When people talk about Web 3, it strikes a similar chord. Slowly, users and individuals are moving from an “interact with” model to an “execute with” model, increasing their immersion and personalized experience. The personalized user experience that web 3 offers is undeniable, and will be the norm moving forward. Luckily, we are here to tell you that the “journey” to Web 3 will not be so long and arduous. In fact, it’s already here, and we have built something truly special and unique in its name. Like the cloud giants before us, Creaton has filled the need to educate and lead users into a fully Web 3 future.
Creaton is the premier content creation platform that will bridge the gap between individual experience, and executable and programmable content, allowing people to not only interact with each other and the broader community, but foster unique and highly curated experiences no matter what someone likes or where they originate from.
As Creaton will be the first, fully functioning Web3 offering for content creators and fans, we have taken every major building block from traditional infrastructure models and have replaced them with purpose-built, fully integrated blockchain solutions, bringing a true Web 3 experience to your fingertips unlike any other. Let’s dive into the guts of what we have built.
Polygon (MATIC) will be used as the main protocol layer for the Creaton platform. Polygon is a Layer 2 scaling platform, who’s purpose is to increase the usage of tools and applications by connecting blockchains together. Polygon makes up for Ethereum's shortcomings (like low throughput/high fees, non-user friendliness, and limited flexibility) by taking care of intense processing, while still keeping the underlying security of the Ethereum blockchain. This will result in cheaper transactions, better throughput, increased flexibility when working with dApps, and an overall better user experience.
The Graph (GRT) is first of its kind, and is born out of need rather than a victim of solutionism. Sometimes referred to as the “google of blockchains”, GRT is a decentralized query protocol/infrastructure used to index data for multiple blockchains. Indexing has an extremely important role to play, as it cuts down on the time it takes to search for, and retrieve, pertinent blockchain data. GRT works to reference different “sub-graphs” via their explorer for easy querying, which contain organized and indexed data from multiple blockchains.
At the current level, these ingestion engines exist in very siloed instances (Eth explorer, BSC explorer etc.) and force users/projects to place their trust in a centralized authority. Projects that don’t want to use this system of trust, are then forced to do redundant work and build their own indexing solution. For Creaton GRT fits perfectly, as it provides a truly decentralized answer, not only benefitting from increased security, but also significantly optimizing the performance vs. decentralization trade-off.
LIT protocol is a fully decentralized, access-control middleware, capable of connecting blockchains to the greater internet and other decentralized systems. Being a composable network, LIT is able to verify users’ on-chain conditions and grant those users keys for decrypting content, or java-script web tokens to access dynamic content on the fly without any manual intervention. For example, you could encrypt a file and upload it to IPFS, and anyone who would want to access that file, would go through the LIT protocol to verify their access level, receiving a decryption key without LIT seeing the contents of said key during the entire process.
This kind of technology is essential for token-gated services and platforms that are still in the Web 2.0 world, but want to bridge into Web 3. Not to mention, LIT protocol functionality will be paramount in establishing and operating an elite DAO model. When it comes to Creaton, LIT will be in charge of everything access-related. You will only be able to access and decrypt creators’ content, after LIT has verified that you are indeed a subscriber and are streaming payments to the creator via our Superfluid integration.
SuperFluid is a unique, top notch integration of ours. Using micro-transactions, Superfluid allows entities to send funds between each other over a period of time, without requiring capital lock-up from either side. Everything we do on a daily-basis is in a continuous, streamlined fashion, from offering services to performing work at our regular jobs. Superfluid believes payments should flow in a similar fashion. This reduces the chances of being paid late, or in some cases not paid at all. Superfluid is fully programmable, and digitally native, allowing for custom cashflow to fit any business need. SuperFluid will make it possible for our creators to see their income grow in real-time, without having to wait an entire pay cycle to receive funds.
Last but certainly not least, our backend storage solution will be provided by Arweave. Arweave (formerly Rchain) was founded back in 2017 when two Doctorate students dropped out of college to build what’s called the Permaweb. Around this time “Fake news” was a popular term, and gave both founders the idea to create a permanent, on-chain, tamper-proof solution using distributed technology. Arweave’s idea is so popular today, that big players like Solana currently use it to store their data. Unlike other solutions, you only pay once when storing data on Arweave, and that data cannot be altered or changed (without creating another altered version of the original). Using Arweave technology will enable the Creaton platform to store each and every post from creators as an NFT, on decentralized storage, forever.
Creaton is a platform for all creators. We are a completely decentralized and censorship-resistant platform that cuts out the middleman. As such, people from all walks of life can sign up and start creating content that speaks, for them, and to other people. As Creators start creating pieces of content, any post will result in the minting of an NFT, which will then be encrypted via LIT Protocol, subsequently being stored on Arweave. Any fans that are currently subscribed to the creator, will instantly be able to view this new piece of content. Once LIT has confirmed the user has subscribed to the creator, and is streaming payments to the creator via Superfluid, access is granted and the piece of content is found on Arweave using The Graph, and is then decrypted by LIT before being made available.
Being able to integrate and bring all of these solutions together has been a major focus, and we are more than proud to say the platform is now ready for use, and is fully functional. The only piece that is left is to launch the token, which will be the key to unlocking the platform’s full potential. Creaton will be launching its token on Feb 7th on Copperlaunch, a new and growing LBP auction platform. Stay tuned for detailed information about our auction!
