For me, Sarai, it started on Jan 2, 2021.
I got the Clubhouse invite from Matt Sibert my friend on FB, he offered invites on his timeline and I asked; intrigued about the buzz around a new app.
I wondered — How great could it be?
Well, settle in and get comfortable because almost a year has passed and I can confidently say: the app has changed my life in a more than a few ways.
I started out by jumping into rooms recommended by the app, based on the few “recommended” people I followed. I didn’t speak much at first, it was scary to think about; everyone seemed so professional.
It was a lot of business talk at first, networking, e-commerce, and comedy and cannabis rooms. A lot of buzz went around when Gary Vaynerchuck, Zuck and a few other “well known” figures joined the app and actually spoke in a few rooms. I jumped into the “room” Gary was speaking in felt excited to be part of something really new and exciting like this new app. I was hooked pretty quickly, I called a few close friends and texted out invites to a few, trying to explain how much I was learning.
After a few weeks of saturating my brain with an information overload from all the rooms I jumped into throughout the days, I started to look for something different.
That’s about the time when I found the art rooms… Full of writers, poets, painters, toy makers, and artists of every medium. To be fair, I believe the art communities on clubhouse deserve their own few chapters. More on those magical spaces on the next chronicle…buen dia, y hasta el proximo amig@s.
