Hello, World.
September 13th, 2022

I write in scattered accounts across the internet. I like trying new platforms, though I’m sure it doesn’t help me establish any kind of consistency of audience. Not that I’ve ever built a large one.

Anyway.

I want to inspire people about the possibility of living in civilizations which simply work a lot better because the way in which they solve public problems and move resources is simply better.

I think the way to do this is embrace the idea of law and regulation via wiki.

Hear me out: Wikipedia started with the idea “anyone can edit” and created the greatest encyclopedia in human history.

Writing the laws and regulations of a country with the rule “anyone can edit” will likely yield the best legal framework in the world.

Wikipedia did not begin with their sophisticated framework of citation and editorial process to protect important documents. It grew into that.

In the same way, I believe a sophisticated process of deliberation, quorum, and implementation could grow out of an “anyone can edit” legal system.

Such a system that truly allows everyone to participate, I believe, would yield fairer, cheaper, more efficient, and less frustrated civilizations.

In such a system, there is no “they”. There is just us.
