In a strategic announcement towards solving blockchain’s trilemma, OKX’s new zero-knowledge based Layer 2 (L2), X1, has been successfully integrated into zkLink’s Layer 3 (L3) solution, Nexus.
Following the integration with X1 testnet, zkLink developers and users are now able to access and deploy on the X1 testnet through the L3 Nexus alpha mainnet. Using zkLink’s proprietary APIs, developers will now be able to deploy and customize their dApps on the X1 L2 testnet. Users on the other hand will be able to seamlessly operate and transact with dApps deployed on the X1 testnet.
The ZK-powered X1 is touted to give users and developers access to the world’s biggest blockchain ecosystems. Built on the Polygon CDK, the X1 L2 promises to drive the future of Web3, by attracting DeFi and blockchain builders and connecting them to OKX’s more than 50 million users with the Polygon and the Ethereum communities — two of the biggest globally in Web3 in terms of developer participation.
The integration of X1 into zkLink’s L3 Nexus is in line with zkLink’s mission towards solving DeFi’s ecosystem fragmentation problem. By unifying liquidity through zero knowledge proofs from multiple L2 rollups, zkLink enables developers to make difficult multichain dApp deployments as easy as connecting APIs. Users on the other hand will be able to interact with dApps deployed on rollups connected to the L3 such as Polygon ZKEVM, Scroll and now X1 at near-instantaneous speeds while enjoying a zero transaction fee environment.
