Privacy may be one of the most important concerns for many crypto users. In this thread, I’d like to briefly explain what zCloak Network is and why is it important.

zCloak Network, a privacy-preserving computing platform, enables a new computation paradigm where people can do computation/analysis of their data in the client device. The title “prove who you are, without telling who you are” clearly describes what the zCloak is. But how is this possible? Thanks to ZKP.

Zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) is a cryptographic technology in which one party can prove to another party that a given statement is true without showing the data. For example, you can prove that you are eligible to get access to a platform without revealing your data. zCloak uses zk-STARK which is a type of highly secure cryptographic testing that uses ZKP principles to create encrypted data and provide ZKP as a Service (ZKPaaS) for public blockchains.

zCloak Network has raised a total of $7.1M in funding over 2 rounds from 12 investors led by Coinbase Ventures. Their latest funding was raised on Jun 17, 2022, from a Seed round.

zCloak recently launched zkID.app which is the first product of zCloak Network for privacy-preserving self-sovereign identity. It enables local computation on user identity data in a browser extension.
