The MTR has finished installing automatic platform screen doors at Racecourse station to keep punters safe.
The railway giant said its team made use of the period after the horse racing season ended last month to install the gates.
They will be put into service next month when the racing season commences, making it the first East Rail Line station to have automatic platform screen doors.
This will be the first of 13 stations on the East Rail Line that the MTR planned to install platform screen doors at.

The whole project involves 35 platforms and almost 1,600 pairs of gates and was expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
The overall cost of the project is about HK$510 million, as the railway line is the last one without such measures to prevent commuters from falling onto the tracks.
