We are excited to announce the launch of the Fixed Rates page to help new users get started with APWine ✨
We’ve heard feedback from the community about the complexity of our core product and the **Fixed Rates **page is here to help onboard newcomers to APWine’s ecosystem.
Starting today, users can secure their future yield rates in a few clicks on both Ethereum & Polygon networks.
This feature will be available immediately for all the new assets added to APWine.
How to secure your future yield in a few clicks? Let’s get started:
- Head over to the Fixed Rates page, connect your wallet and choose the desired network.
2. You’ll be presented with a variety of interest-bearing tokens with current APR rates. For example, you can secure your future yield today on $USDC at 16.6% APR till March 23, 2022.
Click on the $USDC box to be presented with the next step:
3. In our example, we have 7371.65 $USDC in the wallet and at current rates, we can secure a 2.06% profit which we’ll be able to fully redeem on March 23, 2022 for 7524 $USDC.
In other words, in this process, we are fixing our yield rate which entitles us to a secure profit of 152.34 $USDC ($7524 — $7371.65).
It’s a powerful tool that allows yield farmers to hedge from rate fluctuations of their yield-generating opportunity, as oftentimes once it gets popular, the rates go down.

You are all set! You’ve now received Principal Tokens (PTs) to your wallet (view them via Portfolio page). PTs entitle you to redeem your secured profit at the end of this period, which in this tutorial is March 23, 2022.
💡 Only waiting until the end of the period guarantees you the rate.
🗒 ️Note that you still can sell PT anytime during that period back to $USDC and receive a part of the generated yield, however, it’s up to APWine’s AMM conditions e.g. market price whether you receive it at your previously fixed rate.
