What is ART3?

Throughout the history of art there have been significant shifts in the way that art was made and perceived in a greater cultural sense. To paint with broad strokes, there are three major shifts in Western Art:

• Art1: Prior to the Renaissance, artists were mainly skilled craftsmen, scribes, and contracted laborers, working to achieve the vision of the church or religious groups.
• Art2: After the Renaissance, we began to see artists as individuals, philosophers. The artist’s “signature” became a mark of their own personal brand.
• Art3: Web3 marks a significant shift towards art in terms of global communities, decentralization provides a new system to promote and patronize artists. Communities of people are forming from all over the world to patronize an artists work because of NFTs.

Web3 is not just a movement in technology, economics, and finance. It’s also a major revolution in the way that art is created, viewed, shared, and commoditized.

Art has tremendous power and it is only just beginning to unlock the potential to bring together communities that are changing the world with the technology of web3.

Artists, most of all, can benefit from this movement and the tools that it provides if they have the knowledge.

MISSION:

• Form an creative community based around curated events and gatherings that include artist critiques, networking events, discussions, and art and web3 education;
• Generate exposure and opportunities for artists in our community through curated projects.

ROADMAP:

Phase 1:

Form an online creative community based around curated events and gatherings that include artist critiques, networking opportunities, and art and web3 education. We believe that the most successful NFT projects come out of creating an organic community.

Phase 2:

The community will launch an NFT project (or a series of curated projects) to function as access pass to additional token gated content: artist workshops, educational opportunities, curated IRL art shows, and pop up events. The NFT project will fund all kinds of creative projects and ideas planned by our community as well as compensate the team, artists, and creatives for their contributions.
