On Tuesday we launched a “Share Frame“ and something magic happened; it became “viral“ and has been shared more than 10,000 times which is something we didn’t expect. Along with the frame we received a ton of questions, some which are covered in the F.A.Q. section on our Website and some new. Thats why we are posting this entry to our blog to cover the F.A.Q.s received.

Base Frens Mint

• **How are you planning the token sale?**BaseFrens will be the first NFT project to be funded via Degen Tips. 9501/10,001 tokens will be available via a presale whitelist at a price of 1,000 $DEGEN per token. Follow us on Farcaster and turn notis on to let you know how to secure a BaseFren. The remaining 501 tokens will be used for marketing. There will be 2 sale phases:

  • Whitelist presale: 9501 tokens for people who tipped us.

  • Public mint: for tokens that weren’t claimed during the presale whitelist phase

• What is the mint price?

  • Presale: 1,000 Degen as a tip, limited to 20 tokens per wallet.

  • Public mint: 0.005 ETH per token on a FCFC basis.

• **How do i tip you 1,000 Degen if my allowance is lower to that sum?**We are well aware that not everybody on Farcaster is able to tip 1,000 $DEGEN on a single tip, therefore we have created a Dune panel which allow us to track all tips received and at the end of the month we will compute all tips received per user and add all participants to a whitelist based on the total amount of tips sent.

• **Wen Mint?**We are aiming to the 10th of May or sooner if we do a sold out before the end of season 2 on Degen.

• **Where do i tip you?**You can tip us on any of our cast, it really doesnt matter. Just be sure it is on a cast made by @basefrens otherwise the tip will go to another user and we wont be able to add you to the whitelist.We have a pinned cast where you can tip us.

• **I dont have any Degen allowance at all, how many BaseFrens will be available for the Public Mint?**It depends on how many are minted during the presale phase. It is possible for someone who qualify for presale to not mint their BaseFrens, those tokens will then be available for the public mint.

• **Max number of tokens per wallet?**During the presale every wallet is limited to 20 tokens per wallet, that means you need to tip us 1,000 $DEGEN for each token you want to mint. The total number of tokens to be minted could be tipped in a single event or during many events until you reach the desire number of tokens.

• **What is the Roadmap?**Community Grants! BaseFrens is about friendship, our grants will allow BaseFrens holder to receive DEGEN for taking actions with their local communities, like hosting a meeting or a dinner.We will create a blog post to cover how grants will work and how to apply for one.

• **What is the royalty on secondary sales?**4.20% fixed per sale on market places that enforce royalties.

• **How many BaseFrens are reserved for the team?**1 BaseFren will be minted to our wallet every 1,000 mints, that means we will only hold 10 tokens randomly minted. However one of our founders will tip 50,000 degen of his own allowance to secure 50 tokens.

• **Will the team become doxxed?**Yes the team has plans to become doxxed. Remember the grants? they will take an active roll with the community.

• **Where does BaseFrens come from?**BaseFrens is a social collaboration paying homage to the OG NFT collections and with common traits on projects like CryptoPunks and Nakamigos. First thought to be launched at Solana when we find out about the good vibes around Farcaster and the exponential growth Base Blockchain is having we decided to move to Base and change the name to BaseFrens.

• **Commercial rights?**YES, BaseFrens holders are granted the same commercial rights as Yuga Labs provided for CryptoPunks in 2022.

• **Are you related with any other NFT project / Brand?**NO, we are not related with NAKAmigos, HiFo Labs and/or Larva Labs. By using traits based on Nakamigos and Cryptopunks we are paying homage to what we believe are two of the most influential pixel art NFT projects.
