We recently had a big vote to decide whether we should launch our very own memecoin. We know this might sound a bit strange, especially since we're bringing Valocracy into the Linea ecosystem. That's exactly why we put together this article: to be open and clear with the Beaver Builder community and lay out our plans for the future.

Why a Memecoin?

Launching a memecoin means adding a little more fun to our community while also doing something useful. We want to strengthen our bonds and maybe even have a few laughs along the way. But don't be fooled by the playful vibe, this coin is a serious deal. It’s going to help us push our valocratic project forward and grow even more.

We’re talking about a memecoin that can really boost our community’s spirit and support Beaver Builder’s mission. It’s a great way to reward participation through fun quests. Plus, it can serve as an incentive for people to get more involved with Beaver DAM.

This isn’t about creating hype for hype’s sake. We’re using this memecoin as a real tool to support our Valocracy development and as a reward system for our events and campaigns.

Our Valocratic DNA

Beaver Builder is, and always will be, a valocratic community. This means we focus on rewarding people for the value they contribute, not just the money they invest. Our governance approach splits power into decision-making and economic rewards. You get non-tradable tokens for governance and tradable ones for profits. This way, your influence and rewards depend on your actual contributions, making things fairer and more dynamic.

Every decision we make goes through a voting process. Instead of relying on how many tokens you can buy, at the moment (before the launch of Beaver DAM) we use Linea Voyage XP (LXP). You can only earn these by being active in the Linea ecosystem. LXPs don’t have a cash value, they recognize and celebrate your contributions to the community.

In our memecoin proposal, we had an amazing turnout with over 11,000 unique voters and more than 35 million LXPs in voting power, representing 1.4% of the total supply on that period. The community’s voice was loud and clear: 93.56% said, “Yes, create a memecoin,” with 33 million LXP behind it.

So we’re moving forward with the plan, and we’ll keep all of you updated every step of the way.
