Announcing Version 1.3 of the Europa Web3 Loyalty Engine

Executive summary:  Today, we are excited to announce the latest release of our product engine, V1.3, – which adds several new enhancements, features, and design updates, driven from input by our community.

The Europa Core 1.3 update includes new features and enhancements including:

  • Faster Pass Generation with improved UX

  • Mobile Native (SMS) Pass Generation and Onboarding

  • Ties users’ On-Chain, NFT art to their Mobile Pass

  • New token-gated experiences and features

  • Native social support for Instagram, Twitter, and web3 social platforms like Lens and Farcaster

Announcing Version 1.3 of the Europa Core – a Web3 Loyalty Engine

Over the past few months, our product team at Europa Labs has been heads-down – focused on building a scalable product engine that enables companies, brands, and creators to bring value to their web3 communities – driving loyalty, enhancing utility, and delighting customers and end-users along the way.

Today, we are excited to announce the latest release of our product engine, V1.3, – which adds several new enhancements, features, and design updates in response to customer demand.

Improving the User Experience for Pass Generation

Faster Pass Generation

Previously, when generating a pass within the “my-tokens” page, users would have to manually input their information for each action – including their name and email address each time they sought to utilize their Access Token. This created unnecessary friction during the onboarding process.

Our latest V1.3 update streamlines this process – requiring less data entry – and thus accelerates the user experience for the process of pass generation within the web3 application.

By reducing the number of required data forms and eliminating an unnecessary wallet signature, we have demonstrably reduced the confirmation time of pass generation itself, which now requires only a single signed message from the token-holder’s wallet to verify ownership.

Mobile-Native Pass Generation and SMS Onboarding

At Europa Labs, we believe that the majority of users will be onboarded to web3 through their mobile phones. Thus, we have built our core application engine to support this experience.

Frequently, the confirmation email containing the users’ Apple Wallet or Android pass would be filtered into spam by our users’ email providers.  In our last release (v1.2), we implemented best practices around spam-filter bypass, keyword optimization, and trusted hostname setup – but our user feedback was clear – this email-driven process still felt somewhat cumbersome.

As a result, we decided to rethink this email flow entirely and replace it with a mobile-native approach for users, cutting out email and replacing it with an SMS-driven pass-generation flow.

During the pass generation experience, users will now enter their phone number rather than email, accept the terms and conditions, and will receive the pass confirmation as a text message, enabling them to add it to their Apple Wallet or Android in a purposefully-designed manner which natively interfaces with the mobile operating system.

Tying Users’ onchain, NFT art to their Mobile Pass directly

A key aspect of NFT-driven web3 communities are the ability for holders to feel unique through a customized frontend, making the experience personal to the unique user.

As such – the participants’ NFT and it’s brand should be natively embedded across the user experience.  In this vein, we have added a feature that ties each users’ unique NFT to their entire experience within the europa product engine.  Consider it akin to an anchor that maintains a sense of synchronicity across the users experience, while also being a unique identifier to the NFT holder. In doing so, Europa is providing a further touchpoint for users to dive deeper into the world of Web3 and fully embrace a more identifiable, unique connection with their brand of choice.

As a first step, the users’ NFT is now represented and displayed within their generated Mobile Pass.  For Apple Wallet, the Europa Core engine pulls the NFT metadata associated with each NFT, tying it directly into the pass generation process.

For the 11 Captains’ Club, users’ will now see their unique hat image represented in their Apple/Android wallet as such:

The ticket will land in the users’ mobile wallet (Apple/Android Wallet) and will look and act exactly like an airline ticket would.

As part of the Europa Framework, this metadata is pulled from the decentralized cloud directly, using an IPFS-pin backed by Storj - utilizing web3-native object storage.

In addition, every other piece of automated communications – including emails that user receives for redemption, etc. will also contain an image of the users’ NFT, assigned by token ID.

New token-gated experiences and features

As part of the latest Europa Core release (version 1.3) – we have also incorporated new optional UI elements for our clients, including support for a token-gated banner image and support button.

Some of our clients, like 11 Captains’ Club, have already taken advantage of these new core engine improvements – by creating new, in-app, token-gated flows to enhance their membership experience.

In the example below, 11 has incorporated the ability to opt-in to a private marketing list, available only through the in-app flow.

Other clients have implemented automated concierge desks, support flows, and other features – tying together an in-app, token-gated experience to third party webhooks and APIs.

We are happy to work with our clients to enable concierge/messaging flows that create automatic support workflows outputting to email, sms, slack, etc.

Connect your users Instagram, Twitter, and web3 social platforms like Lens and Farcaster

As part of the Europa Core v1.3 Release, we are announcing the general availability of a native integration for most social networks.

Any customer/client that has built a web3 app with us – and utilizes our Europa Core (Loyalty Framework) can now enable their users to directly connect to Instagram Twitter, and web3 social platforms like lens.xyz and farcaster.

The recent launch of web3 support on most social platforms now enables influencers on platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and others to showcase their digital asset collections and “flex their status” (or directly market) their most useful digital assets to their followers.

Web3 is becoming an increasingly important part of social media-driven marketing and growth initiatives, and Europa is here to guide our customers through the technology and best practices around web3 and social.

This will enable influencers on Instagram to showcase their digital asset collections and “flex” them to their followers.

Locking-in creator royalty flows

As always, we enable our customers to select which actions, utility, and specific features they would like to associate with their Web3 Loyalty Application.

One specific feature our clients have asked for is the ability to capture trading royalties that are be generated from marketplace trading volume, given the emergence of 0-royalty marketplaces.

To solve this problem, we have designed an in-app listing experience using OpenSea’s Seaport API. This optional feature enables our clients’ loyalty members to trade NFTs directly from the Europa instance, with a curated, branded experience.

By opting-in to this feature, brands create a trading funnel, in-app, that captures new royalties, driving new recurring revenue streams for the loyalty collection creator.
