Hyperlane Warp Routes live on Superbridge

Hyperlane HWR’s are now live on Superbridge!

Assets like ezETH, HYPER and REZ can now seamlessly flow between networks with the same great UX you’ve come to love with Superbridge.

Expansion.

On HWR’s

Hyperlane Warp Routes are a framework for making assets multichain. Not just for ERC20’s, NFTs and native gas tokens like ETH can be made multichain from day one too.

HWR’s are flexible, enabling any configuration of collateral (locked up) and synthetic (natively minted) assets to form a bridging matrix. Hyperlane has gone even further, bringing off the shelf components for things like yield bearing warp routes (Blast, anyone?) and xERC20 compatibility - for a truly vendor lock-in free approach.

The recent HWR 2.0 release also brings native rebalancing for assets like USDC. Previously collateral backed token deployments were fragmented, meaning liquidity contributed to one USDC warp route deployment wouldn’t benefit others. But now with rebalancing, great UX can be offered to any chain entering the fray.

On Hyperlane

With their recent TGE, Hyperlane has set the stage to become a dominant player in the interoperability space. Not just for asset bridging, Hyperlane also facilitates general message passing, acts as robust relaying partner, and offers a ton of other features on top of their protocol.

The security model that backs Hyperlane is one of the most interesting aspects to dive into, with ultimate flexibility, teams are able to choose the best model for their needs. Multisig ISM’s is a great option, but almost anything you can think of can be required for message delivery, and some of the community contributed ISM’s show how flexible this system truly is. The CCIP Read ISM is one of the more innovative, allowing any offchain but attested payloads to be verified. Meaning less smart contract work, and quicker time to market!

Hyperlane is also one of the most broadly supported interoperability protocols, making it an attractive option when looking at going interchain. Not just limited to the EVM (chains like Base, Arbitrum and Ethereum), Hyperlane has live deployments across all kinds of different environments like the SVM (chains like Solana and Eclipse), Starknet, Cosmos (both CosmWasm and a module in the Cosmos-SDK itself) and more.

What’s next?

HWR’s open up the doors for us at Superbridge to 10x our number of supported tokens and chains, we’re excited to start rolling these out for you all.

Hyperlane’s robust relaying infrastructure also makes them our relaying partner of choice, and as we bring more routes where relaying is needed, Hyperlane will be at the forefront of all those releases.
