The new version of Carmine Options AMM is on mainnet, prompting us to disclose some of the details about the CARM token distribution. The protocol aims high and it cannot achieve its goals without the amazing community that we have. There is no way the Carmine protocol can change the world on its own — the community is a crucial part. As such, it cannot be just advisors; it has to have tangible influence on the Carmine Options AMM.

Providing liquidity
It is pretty simple. Stake in one or more of the Carmine Options AMM pools to earn Carmine tokens. Your rewards increase with the amount and duration of your stake
Providing liquidity also makes sense in terms of $ since Carmine ETH/USDC CALL pool made 12.6% in 9 months, and ETH/USDC PUT pool made 18.9% in the same period.
Trading
Again, this is very simple. The more you trade (buying and selling the options), the bigger your share in the Carmine tokens will be.
Traders and active users are essential for the functioning of the AMM. Whether you trade actively, arbitrage the prices or in case use options to hedge or insure your positions you are integral part of Carmine Options AMM and you have to be able to voice your opinion through governance.
Building the protocol
Essentially any help that pushes the protocol gets rewarded. Just join us and help with whatever needs to be done. In most cases, you will receive Carmine tokens and in development cases you might also get $ and STRK tokens.
Referral program
Again, this is very simple. Generate a referral link, share it, and users that join the protocol thanks to you will bring you rewards.
Early on, the rewards will be given through CARM tokens and later on, it will be a mix of CARM and $. Rewards will be distributed periodically and each period. we will calculate the value each referee receives.
Voting on Carmine proposals
Voting on proposals is limited to users who already hold Carmine tokens, and currently, there are over 2000 of us. This is limiting the new users, but benefits the very early users as was approved by the governance.
