Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog where I share my thoughts on life, love and poetry. Today I want to talk about a quote that has always inspired me and resonated with me deeply. It's from the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, who said: "At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet."
What does this mean? Well, to me it means that love has the power to awaken our creativity, our imagination and our expression. Love makes us see the world in a new light, with more beauty, more wonder and more meaning. Love makes us want to share our feelings with others, to pour out our hearts and souls in words that capture the essence of our emotions. Love makes us poets.
I'm sure you have experienced this at some point in your life. Maybe you wrote a love letter to your crush, or a poem for your partner, or a song for your friend. Maybe you just felt a surge of inspiration and joy when you looked into someone's eyes, or held their hand, or kissed their lips. Maybe you just felt like saying "I love you" in a thousand different ways.
That's the touch of love. That's the magic of poetry.
Poetry is not just about rhymes and meters and metaphors. Poetry is about expressing yourself authentically, honestly and passionately. Poetry is about connecting with others on a deeper level, beyond words and logic. Poetry is about feeling alive.
And you don't have to be a professional poet to do that. You don't have to follow any rules or conventions or standards. You just have to follow your heart.
So next time you feel the touch of love, don't be afraid to let it out. Write it down, sing it out loud, share it with someone special. Be a poet. Be yourself.
Thank you for reading this blog post. I hope it inspired you to embrace your inner poet and celebrate your love. If you liked it, please leave a comment below and let me know what you think. And if you have any favorite quotes or poems about love, please share them with me too. I would love to hear from you.
Until next time, keep loving and keep writing.
