This is my first publication on Mirror. I decided to start a series, writing down my thoughts and research about crypto projects with high potential. Why do this? Sometimes thoughts might be random, and not logically looped. But when writing them down, it tends to be organized better. I've made investments in crypto for one year and a half. This will help my future investments, and I wish it will also help others.
In the past 2 years, many people made money by investing in crypto. Some of them made tons of dollars and it's common that when you see other people are making money while you are not, and you become anxious. We all have that time. I was in that mode for a period of time.
However, this is totally unnecessary. Let's take a look at a story. There are 1024 people trading BTC in a room. They can only choose to buy or sell each day, and the trading will last for 10 days. If they try their best to choose different directions (buy or sell) in 10 days, then at least 1 of them traded the right direction for a continuous 10 days. If you just look at the result: someone predicts the trend of BTC every day of the past 10 days. It sounds like a god, right? But the possibility is 1/1024. If 100 million people are trading BTC, 100k of them were on the right directon for 10 days. That’s incredibly high. Even though we extend the time to 20 days, there are still 100 people doing perfectly. And what we see on the market may be some of those.
Why I’m taking this as an example? Investment is full of randomness. Sometimes when you see people make money, it might be just luck. And we are jealous of other people’s luck and become anxious. Sounds ridiculous?
Then it comes to my point. When making investments, don't look too much at the result, but focus on the reason: why they make money, or why this project let them make money. I call this investment logic. If the logic is not strong, the success won't be able to duplicate. If we have an integrated logic, returns are just a matter of time.
In this series, I will focus on elaborating investment logic. It may include general trends, sectors, and specific projects. The next article will start with an overview. See you soon.
