How to Use Cielo’s NFT Dashboard to Track Art Blocks Activity
July 7th, 2023

We’re delighted to report that the Cielo web app and Telegram bot now support Art Blocks. The curated NFT series has proven a hit with digital art connoisseurs, distinguishing itself from run-of-the-mill PFP collections. Art Blocks is defined by its high quality generative art, created with the aid of AI by some of the world’s best digital artists.

From a technical standpoint, adding support for the leading Art Blocks collections was challenging due to the complexities of the smart contracts that govern them. (There’s a reason why Art Blocks has yet to appear on Blur!) After much toil, however, our backend team has made it work. As a result, you can now scrutinize trading activity on such premier collections as Fidenza and Squiggles.

To get started, just head to Cielo’s NFT dashboard and enter the name of the Art Blocks collection you’d like to explore. Each collection has its own page where you can view such stats as:

  • Recent activity

  • Current holders

  • Volume and floor price

  • Minters

  • Profit leaderboard

Using these metrics, you can not only gain a perspective into the status of specific collections, but zero in on top traders and add their wallets to your own Cielo list. For example, a wallet that has minted multiple Art Blocks may be worth watching to see which NFT drops they mint in future. Cielo allows you to set a filter for “NFT Mint” only, which provides a Telegram alert when the wallet makes a tx meeting this criteria.

The leaderboard is also great for identifying wallets that have generated serious profit from flipping multiple Art Blocks. Set an alert filter for “NFT Trade” and you can keep an eye on what they get up to next.

The holders and minters tabs for each leaderboard are filtered by high to low. To create a list of Art Blocks whales, just click the Follow button alongside high ranking holders to add the wallets to your Cielo. You can then head to the configure page and place these wallets into a themed list in seconds. Or to save time, here’s a public list we’ve created of top Art Blocks traders for popular collections. Add it to your Cielo.

Remember, it’s not just specific wallets that you can follow: Cielo also lets you follow entire collections. Hit the Follow button at the top of a collection page and it will be stored in your favorites tab.

5 Art Blocks Collections to Get You Started

So which Art Blocks collections can you browse in Cielo? Well, to get the ball rolling, here are five popular collections that warrant a look.

Chromie Squiggle: One of the first curated Art Blocks projects, Squiggles are the work of Snowfro, a multi-talented artist and developer. As an Art Blocks “blue chip,” Squiggles serve as a good heuristic for gauging the health of the Art Blocks ecosystem.

Fidenza: Tyler Hobbs’ Fidenza collection is famed for its high floor price, low supply, and distinctive geometric shapes. Fidenzas don’t change hands regularly, but when they do, it means a new whale is preparing to park a chunk of their net worth in digital art.

Ringers: Another 1,000-piece collection, this time by Canadian artist Dimitri Cherniak, Ringers comprise a series of algorithmically generated pegs wrapped by string. This description may sound underwhelming, but collectors love them, which is why Ringers sell for upwards of 40 ETH.

Archetype: While relatively cheap by Art Blocks standards, Archetypes are extremely aesthetic. Norwegian programmer Kjetil Golid has mastered the generative art game, producing 600 isometric designs that have proven a hit with discerning collectors.

Singularity: Comprising a black hole with color waves emanating from its core, Singularity is a minimalist but striking collection. Japanese artist Hideki Tsukamato has created 1,024 Singularity NFTs that are ranked using eight rarity features.
