These are exciting times for zkSync – and Cielo. The former is witnessing record transaction volume and soaring TVL as users explore the hottest new L2 in town. Cielo, for its part, is shipping new features at a rate of knots and adding integrations including support for Art Blocks, Ambient Finance, Polygon zkEVM, and zkSync.
Put Cielo and zkSync together and beautiful things happen, like the ability to discern how other users are interacting with its ecosystem and which protocols and tokens are on the up. Cielo’s tracking capabilities are also ideal for monitoring your own onchain usage as you delve deeper into all things zk.
Create a Cielo list of personal wallets, set your feed to show only zkSync transactions for that list and now you’ve got a digital breadcrumb trail leading you through everything you’ve done on the L2. It’s a neat means of keeping tabs on your onchain activity – and that’s just one way Cielo enhances your zkSync experience…
If you’re already using the Cielo web app, this link will take you straight to your feed and show the latest zySync transactions for wallets you’re tracking. This is helpful for discerning which tokens and dapps are seeing the most action. If there’s not a whole lotta zkSync activity to see in your feed, you need to follow some more wallets.
Cielo lets you track up to 250 wallets for free and our public list explorer is crammed with themed lists you can follow in just a click. You’ll find that many of the wallets featured on these lists already have a zkSync footprint.
Incidentally, if you’re interested in seeing a particular tx type on zkSync – say, NFTs being minted – hit the Tx Types & Chains menu at the top of your feed to refine your selection.
One of the most useful things Cielo does is label protocols and tx types, making it easy to tell at a glance who’s swapping what, here, and how. A lot of the time this consists of labeling regular DEX swaps, but Cielo can also decode more complex transactions. For instance, it can show the direction a trader takes on a leveraged position, or their health score after taking out an onchain loan. As activity ramps up on zkSync and more DeFi primitives come onstream, the ability to decipher complex tx at a glance will prove extremely valuable.
At present, Cielo tracks and labels all the major zySync protocols and platforms including:
SyncSwap
Mute.io
iZiSwap
EraLend
Velocore
ZKNS
As zkSync evolves, we’ll continue to label and support emerging protocols that gain traction, allowing you to keep tabs on the activity across an L2 that boasts $500M in TVL. If you’ve a keen interest in all things zkSync, the best way to keep tabs on the latest action is by creating your own Cielo list and pairing it with the Cielo Telegram bot. That way, you can receive zkSync alerts while screening out everything taking place on the other 15+ chains Cielo supports.
Cielo makes it easy to create a themed list focused around a network, trading type, or community you’re interested in. After creating your list on the configure page, click the slider icon to edit all wallets in your zkSync list.
In the pop-up menu, select your desired chain, tx types, and minimum tx value if desired. Don’t forget to assign the list to a Cielo bot so you can receive Telegram alerts.
With more than one million addresses having deposited funds onto zkSync, there’s no shortage of wallets to track. There’s a few ways to go about creating a themed list that catches the most relevant wallets from users whose actions are worth monitoring. One tip is to search for Twitter accounts that mention zkSync and then add their ENS. Another is to browse a block explorer token list and select large holders of specific tokens. Thirdly, try following Cielo public lists (they don’t have to be zkSync-themed), filtering your feed to show zkSync activity, and then adding any interesting wallets to your own list; you can always unfollow the public list afterward.

Since the ZKS token has yet to drop, activity on the chain is likely to ramp up further into 2024. Creating a dedicated Cielo list now will stand you in good stead for everything that’s coming on the industry’s busiest L2.
