When Time Seems to Slow

Pokemon Go Summer of 2016...

What an exciting time that was.

You'd drop almost anything at a moment's notice to raid a Dragonite that appeared at a nearby intersection. Players of all ages would spill out into the streets, causing traffic to build up around them—the world seemingly slowing down, breaths paused as their last poke ball jolted back and forth, back and forth…

What an exciting time that was.

In a time and place where in-person gathering would be put on the back-burner, NFT Summer 2021 felt much like the craziness of 2016. From keeping eyes peeled on Twitter, unblinking for alpha; to aping into projects then DYOR after; keeping abreast on more projects than your Discord subscription would allow; to minting the latest bluechip or grail minutes after launch—it’s crazy how a day would feel like a week, a week like a month, a month like a year…

What an exciting time that was.

Though times may be different now, I sincerely hope that there are many more exciting times ahead like these in the future and that we may all be so lucky to partake in them. May we never look back with regret because we were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and lived for the moment.

What an exciting time that will be.
