There are so many people I want to send my deepest gratitude for making 2022 memorable and of great value, thank you so much those who I have been in connection with, you made this year a present.
If you want to skip my reflection on 2022, see Revolution toward the bottom where I write out my daily regiment and share some of the things I want to accomplish in 2023.
First before I scribe to the new year, I want indulge for a moment into the reflection.
I am incredibly proud of how far I have come in 2022, much of what I have accomplished has been in the light of living for the love of life itself & for the appreciation of this world provides, the sphere that I call god.
What did I accomplish? Well I broke up with the love of my life, or who I thought.
What did I learn? All the time I spent with her, I realized was a mirror image of myself. This was the start of 2022, just after my birthday on February 15th.
What I was living through is what I would call masochistic grief. I continued to be confronted with my own shame & guilt, things I held from the previous relationships I have had in my life, much of what wasn’t mine to hold in the first place. So I killed the guilt by naming it directly, dissecting the grief, coming to terms with it and letting it go.
I did have a beautiful year.
I visited the Netherlands, spent Kings Day in Amsterdam, schemed a new vision Dudes in the House with Anita, poppa PETH, Victor, Misanth, & Unipuff from MetaGame. I had a blast with all who made it to ETHAmsterdam & DevConnect!
I visited New York City for the first time in my life, and I could not have been more pleased with my experience. I spent my time there visiting with friends from across the entire web3 community (& the world) for DAONYC, some of my favorite people in this entire world.
I was all over talking DAOs, tooling, treasury management solutions, knowledge management, operations and governance, etc. I was employed by DAOhaus up until the end of my visit to New York.
After New York I was off to Barcelona for ETHBCN, then traveled to Florence Italy, then to Paris for EthCC. Every moment I was on the road I was hungry & eager to teach people all about DAOs and what we can build collectively if we acknowledge this new set of tools at our disposal.
At the end of my European tour, I spent 2-weeks at theDAOist in Lisbon, where I continued to hustle and learn from one of my favorite humans Elco. Elco left me so positively impacted that by the time I was leaving I landed a new gig at Collab.Land.
I left Lisbon with a little pep in my step, Europe was incredible and in all of the time I spent there, I was able to learn and amass a ton of knowledge about myself, the ones I love, my peers, and the world around me.
Then came MCON, which brought a host of fun events and amazing memories with frens! I spent my first night before the week of events with Yalor, co-creator of MCON and MetaCartelian. We hung out at Gerrard’s Pool Hall in RiNo talking about get Chili tattoos, which I still need to commit (2023 👀).
MCON is where I coordinated dudes in the house v0 with my brother homie. I also facilitated and completed a demonstration with the Cross-Protocol Coalition, in what manifested as the Cub Scouts, that brought together several projects across the community to show how we are composing our tooling together, showing MetaCartel how to go fast, together.
Wrapping it up, I have now been on the grind of writing a lot, and I am going to continue to scribe and hopefully turn my thoughts & words into poems, and If I can aspire high enough to greatness, I’ll be like the white Morgan Freeman of rap, but more like Yasiin Bey.
2022 was the year of letting go.
So I send it off on it’s vessel.
The past is your pedestal, make sure it stands right on it’s own.
Now I will write about everything that I would like to do in 2023, in a bullet point list fashion. This will include my new years resolution, which I will be referring to as Revolution.
