Editions are a way for creators to mint a limited supply of identical NFTs at a fixed price. If a 1/1 NFT is a Picasso at Sotheby's, Editions are like the thousands of first-edition holographic Charizards released.

Editions on Mirror are configured with four parameters:

  1. Price
  2. Media file (we currently support .jpg, .png, .gif, and .mp4)
  3. Total supply
  4. Funds recipient address

Like other economic blocks on Mirror, your Edition is deployed as a smart contract and can be embedded inside any Mirror entry.

Use Cases

Editions can be used to:

  • Mint digital collectibles
  • Create community memberships
  • Represent tiered rewards

Launching an NFT Edition

Upload a media file

We currently support .jpg, .png, .gif, and .mp4

Add a title and description

The title and description will be displayed in the Edition block when embedded inside an entry.

Set the price and supply

You can set a custom ETH price and supply cap based on your goals for the Edition. For example, you can set a high price and low supply to indicate rarity. On the other hand, you can set a low price and high supply to allow more people to participate and receive the NFT.

If you want to maximize community participation, you could do a campaign with a 1/1 Reserve Auction plus a few Editions.

For example:

  • 1/1 Gold NFT through a reserve auction
  • 10/10 Silver NFT for 0.5 ETH
  • 100/100 Bronze NFT for 0.1 ETH

Embedding an edition

Once the Edition is deployed, a snippet of code will appear in the Embed section of the Edition page in your dashboard. Copy and paste this into an entry. It should look like the example below, but with your dedicated edition address address and editionId.

For example, this code embeds the Edition at the top of this guide.
