Mogs are caricatures of traditionally garish and soulless crypto pfpNFTs, visually inspired by internet and draincore aesthetics. The project is not modeled after any one particular collection, but the initial collection is based off Remilia Corporation assets. The project operates within, and grows out of, a tradition of art history and internet semantics influenced by the language and cultural impact of Remilia Corporation and parallel contemporary art critics.
Mogs take visual cues from children’s artwork, draincore, and cyberpunk art styles. These are enigmatic, romantic, mysterious styles that elude definition; within them there is a perception of a real magical Life beneath the image: past, present, and future, respectively. Each of these styles, alone or in conjunction, has an ability to speak from the abyss and communicate an essence of spirituality through the network.
Mogs are not generated like typical NFTs; they are not layered PNGs that can be assembled. As a result they have no parsable metadata in the traditional sense. Each image is scanned with BLIP and CLIP vision-language understanding systems, and the results of these scans are codified as a haiku. No 2 mogs are the same.
