We are proud to announce that CHI was officially launched today. This article will introduce CHI and the future projects it will bring. Please see the end of this article for details on how to claim your CHI.

CHI

CHI is a metaverse token. It follows the ERC-20 standard with a capped supply of 10,000,000,000. With our long-term vision, it will unleash its potential in the future to power a decentralized Metaverse. CHI also acts as the governance token of Dragon City, a shared metaverse space for the Dragon Community.

As for the allocation of tokens, 66% of the CHI supply will be allocated to the community, of which

• 3.26% will be allocated for community building, including grants/events/community support, as an incentive for the ecosystem building;
• 14.74% will be airdropped immediately to Dragon City contributors, active participants of the Dragon City community, Decentraland district contributors, and LAND/ESTATE holders;
• 48% will be allocated to Dragon DAO (see below for details).

Of the remaining supply,

• 7% will be kept for our long-term supporters, including investors, advisors, and sponsors. This part will be locked for one year since launch. All CHI tokens allocated to long-term supporters are subject to a vesting schedule of at least two years.
• 27% of the genesis supply will be allocated to the team, which will also be locked for one year after launch and subject to a vesting schedule of at least two years.

Dragon City (Genesis)

Dragon City, and now we call it Dragon City (Genesis), is a virtual city built on the decentralized virtual reality platform Decentraland. It is a community district consisting of 6,485 parcels of LAND contributed by hundreds of members worldwide in 2017.

As a large-scale cultural community in Decentraland, Dragon City (Genesis) is dedicated to showcasing the world's traditional culture and exploring more possibilities about the future development of human society.

Since the official opening of Dragon City on July 4th, 2020, we have held more than 12 important events for our community, such as CAWA Art Festival in 2021, Lunar New Year Carnival in 2022, and Metaverse Fashion Week in 2022. We have also released our own wearable NFTs, including the Peking Opera collection, Dancing Lion suit, etc.

Dragon Metaverse

We see Dragon City (Genesis) has the greatest potential to be the biggest metaverse community in the future. What we are doing is to unleash this potential, building the infrastructure for it.

In the coming years, more Dragon Cities will come to live. Our ultimate goal is to build it as a shared space named Dragon, or Dragon Metaverse, which is a perfect combination of China’s ancient culture and Western modernization, a reflection of both the Eastern and Western civilizations. We are creating the cultures for the future.

Dragon DAO

Dragon DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization that stewards the Dragon Metaverse. CHI is the governance token of Dragon DAO.

In our initial plan, DragonDAO will hold 48% of the genesis supply, which is split equally between three parts:

• Dragon X, a community treasury vault;
• Dragon Y, as an incentive to build the metaverse system;
• Dragon Z, for future usage, to build an NFT network.

DragonDAO will be officially launched after the first DAO constitution is voted on by the community members.

Inspired by many projects such as Decentraland, Sandbox, Yearn, AAVE, MolochDAO, ConstitutionDAO, etc., we value the power that community plays in building an ideal metaverse and see DAO as a WAY to the future we want to live in and an attempt to rebuild civic life. Our mission is to develop a robust virtual system layer on which members can truly create values and earn a living.

Dragon PASS

Dragon Pass is a Non-Fungible Token that follows the ERC-721 standard. It is a metaverse identity system that represents the official “metazenship” in Dragon Metaverse, including Dragon Cities.

If you hold a Dragon Pass, it means you are one of the owners of Dragon Metaverse. The benefits of Pass holders many include but are not limited to:

• Access to the exclusive locations in Dragon Metaverses for community events, in both the virtual and real world;
• Priority access to Dragon.Art NFT airdrops and giveaways;
• Access to exclusive community Discord channels；
• and more...

DragonPass will be officially launched with Dragon DAO. You can claim a DragonPass for free if you are:

• an original Dragon City (Genesis) LAND contributor;
• a DCT token holder who is not a LAND contributor.

If you are not eligible to claim it, you can purchase it using $CHI at our launch event. All income from the purchases will be going into the DAO treasury, which means this income will be burned.

Dragon Culture

In Taoism, Chi is believed to be inherent in all things. In the Dragon ecosystem, CHI is expected to be the fundamental force that holds the world woven by people and codes together. It is a fluid medium that irrigates the community, fertilizes the talents, encourages creativity, and links the people together to build an open world.

We had a big idea: to fill this ever-expanding Metaverse space, with a new cultural experience for everyone; to create a Metastory from a lost Chinese classical culture in a chaotic present. And we knew it all started small. With the birth of CHI, the story of the Dragon begins.

Claim your $CHI

You will be eligible for claiming CHI tokens if you meet one of the following requirements:

• If you are the original LAND contributor to Dragon City (Genesis);
• If you are a DCL Private LAND / Estate holder;
• If you are a contributor to other DCL districts;
• If you are a participant in Dragon City (Genesis) events;
• If you have purchased the wearable NFTs of Dragon City (Genesis).

In addition, you will receive the following EXTRA CHI token rewards if you are:

• LAND contributor who did not claim DCT: 100,000 CHI per LAND contributed;
• LAND contributor who is holding DCT: 100 CHI per DCT held;
• DCT other holders: 100 CHI per DCT held.

Notice:

• If you are a contributor (including LAND contributors and DCT holders), to ensure that you have a full membership to participate in future community governance, please verify your identity by completing the Contributor Registration Form: https://s.surveyplanet.com/tcs6poqi as soon as possible.
• DO NOT interact with the DCT smart contract before CHI airdrop snapshot time.
• DO NOT transfer or exchange your DCT tokens before CHI airdrop snapshot time.
• Once you have passed the official membership verification, please do not buy, sell or transfer the DCT tokens or you may lose the opportunity to claim your CHI airdrop.
• After the launch of the CHI tokens, DCT tokens (launched by the former operator of Dragon City on Decentraland) will not be able to circulate in the Dragon ecosystem, and DCT will not play any role in the future Dragon community.
• Contributors will have at least 2 years to claim their tokens since the CHI launched, after which any remaining tokens might be sent to the DragonDAO treasury via voting by the community.
