By Jealousy#0280

Event: Carv x GMR AMA

Time: Nov.28th, 2PM UTC

Host: Charles

Speaker: Mark – CTO of GMR

Question:

Would you like to start with a brief introduction of yourself?

Mark:

Hello, this is mark.I am the CTO of GMR, responsible for product development. I work with a group of very talented engineers. GMR has been in development for 12 months and has been developing game tools before that. We all know that web3 games have a lot of technical challenges, but we will keep going.

Question:

Is there a reason behind why the project is called GMR?

Mark:

Obviously, it's an abbreviation of gamer. Some people call it GMR. Some people call it Gamer. The token is called Gamer. So it's up to you guys. Call us what you want, but gamers are technically what we are.

We have a full media department that publishes media content on a weekly basis. For a long time we preferred the community to be able to call the project Gamer. but community members have their own opinions and now people are happy to call it GMR.**

Question:

Can you tell us about your team and the GMR game itself?

Mark:

That's a good question, but it's hard to answer in short words. The goal of GMR is to create games and synergize the role of social media in the gaming space. The idea of WEB3 is freedom. In the future gamers will want to create and own game content and WEB3's technology gives us great tools to do that.

The first thing we developed over a year ago was the Game Center feature. Game Center is actually a social center. And then Game Center is an important part of our ecosystem. Through Game Center, features like chat rooms and NFT Marketplace were developed. Later we released 10,000 randomly generated NFT pieces based on our mascot. Players can use these NFTs to participate in games. This game is what we call Battle League.

With the game our goal became more clear. We integrated local social networks into the game. Any content you share in the game will be synced to your social media. Then any assets you gain in the game are owned by the player. Players can choose to hold it, or trade it in the trading market.

As you can see the game is at the center of the entire ecosystem and will be the Gamer-verse. In the Gamer-verse, players can own their own land, their own assets, their own characters, etc. What's more, with the release of the game SDK, the Gamer-verse will link to the player center, social media, and the game itself.

These are all ambitious goals. In fact when we first started this journey we had a hard time believing we would reach such goals. But as time went on, the products we delivered made the route to achieve our goals more and more clear.

When it comes to Battle League, it's a skill-based combat game in an arena. You can control it with a keyboard and mouse. We are currently in the beta stage and are excited for the future.

Question:

So Battle League is just a game in the Gamer-verse, right?

Mark:

Exactly. Our current marketing is focused on Battle League. It gives the false impression that Battle League is our only game. With the release of the game SDK, we encourage game developers to develop their own games in GMR.

Question:

What is the current stage of Gamer's development?

Mark:

We have a development plan for the next 4-5 years. We will have a closed beta first, where only whitelisted players will participate. Later there will be an open beta where everyone can participate. During the first and second quarter of next year, we will strengthen the Gamer-verse aspect. People will see land pre-sales. This closed beta will allow players to build and interact on their own lands. Then we'll release APIs and SDKs to enhance the social network. Making it a complete closed-loop ecosystem.

Question:

Let's talk about Battle League. Wasn't the Alpha version announced in August?

Mark:

Yes, the Alpha version was only available to a small number of community members in August. Then this month we released the Beta version.

Question:

After these 4 months of development, what new content has been added to the game?

Mark:

In the beta version we have added PVP mode and team mode. Of course there are more surprises waiting for you. For example, there are also single-player game modes, which include zombie mode. The zombies will enter the arena one wave after another. In addition, we will also introduce the inventory management function. The ability to quickly retrieve your NFT holdings. We also pay a lot of attention to the balance of each weapon, and try to balance each weapon as well as possible.

Question:

How does Gamer differ from other games in terms of play to earn mechanics?

Mark:

Our team believes that the current play to earn mechanism lacks sustainability. Gamer's solution was to create nft's uniqueness and storytelling. For example, if you win 17 games in a row in the arena, this achievement should be reflected in the NFT data. These backstories will create new value for NFT and represent that each NFT has its own uniqueness and backstory. We believe this will be the most sustainable play to earn game mechanics.

Question:

I think Gamer is one of the 10 most successful game projects out there. How do you attract and manage the community?

Mark:

First of all, I would like to thank the wonderful team we have running the community, including the marketing team and community administrators. Secondly we have a complete community governance system. We involve community members in community management through polls and democratic voting. Finally I think the most important thing in managing the community is to keep it transparent and open. Let the community members grow with the project, stay honest, and deliver on their promises.

Question:

Gamer will be open for access from December 1st to December 10th. What can players experience in the game?

Mark:

Yes, in which we will hold a duel tournament event together with Carv. Players enter the game by downloading the Gamer client, linking their wallets and entering the game. Winning three duels in the game will unlock achievements and earn event badges.

Question:

What are Gamer's plans for Christmas?

Mark:

Christmas is the busiest time of the year. We are going to open battle mint this Christmas, which means players can mint their own dueling bots and three completely random weapons.

Question:

What are Gamer's plans and outlook for 2023?

Mark:

Next year will be a crucial year for Gamer. The crypto market will improve and we will continue to develop games. The Gamer-verse will be available to everyone next year, and there will be a pre-sale of Gamer-verse lands. In the next 3 to 6 months we will focus on developing content about Battle League.
