Ecofrontiers is a Curve Labs initiative that was established June 2023 to research and advocate for transformative approaches towards tokenized natural capital.
In October, we published our first research mapping the types of green crypto-assets that exist. This research represents the Asset Layer of our Environmental Finance Stack, which consists of six material and conceptual layers collectively responsible for the production of natural capital assets. This initial research iswhat we believe to be a first of its kind mapping for green crypto-assets.
We got the chance to partner with esteemed organizations for review and distribution of this research, including PositiveBlockchain, Erable, Blockchain for Good, Avano, and Axon.
Finally, Ecofrontiers also engaged in advisory, putting our detailed research and rich experience to use by offering expert guidance on tokenomics and Web3 operations to several impactful Regenerative Finance (ReFi) projects.
In July, we were invited to the Impact Blockchain Conference held at the Académie du Climat in Paris, with our Research Lead Louise Borreani participating in a panel on ReFi. We also attended key conferences including Funding the Commons, EthCC and ETHMilan, forging valuable connections in the field.
In November, we successfully participated in our first Gitcoin round, drawing the support of over 70 contributors (!)
Finally, co-founder Pat Rawson participated in the DLT for Social Good podcast, interviewed by the remarkable Aurélia Le Frapper, UN Women UK Delegate.
Our envisioned report, New Frontiers in Eco-Capitalism: Public Architectures for the Production of Natural Capital is evolving into a comprehensive book, with already 350 manuscript pages written, reflecting the depth and rigor of our research.
Ecofrontiers is scaling! We're adding a talented project manager and seeking a Front-End intern to enhance the Map project.
