32 Beacons of Hope in a Troubled Era

Denizens Encounters is a tribute to never losing hope, a symbol of resilience and optimism even in the darkest times. It is an invitation to look beyond appearances. A celebration of the human spirit.

It's 2043. Humanity has pushed the planet to the brink of collapse. The environment is barren, the air is toxic, greed & corruption runs rampant. Most people that survived global wars and environmental crises agglomerated into Madara. A cosmopolitan Metropolis, the epicentre of humanity. Amidst the despair, 32 people stand out as beacons of hope. They come from different backgrounds and beliefs, but they all share a common goal: to make the world a better place.

Madara

Madara is a bustling metropolis that never sleeps. The flying vehicles and drones are like a swirling dance in the sky, a cacophony of technology and humanity.

Despite the towering skyscrapers and advanced technology, the city is plagued by pollution, desertification, and a constant struggle for survival. The streets of Madara are a melting pot of different cultures, languages, and people.

Madara is a city that has seen better days, but it still stands as a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity. A place where the past, present, and future collide, humanity and technology meet, and some denizens of this harsh reality try to shine.

The Denizens

A diverse group of 32 individuals from the metropolis of Madara. Each comes from a different background, holds different beliefs, and has a unique story. These individuals come from all walks of life. They are artists, community leaders, and everyday citizens who have chosen to take action and make a difference, despite the odds.

Each Denizen comes with their metadata. Which consist of the Name, Bio, Sex, Profession and Mask.

The Process

To achieve these portraits, I started by generating images with AI from text prompts with Midjounrey. After many prompt tuning and multiple attempts to get closer to the desired results, I selected each picture from countless generations to create as much diversity as possible. For each chosen portrait, I've generated multiple variations of the same. Then I moved to Photoshop for post-production, where I manually combined the best features of each and cleaned up to the smallest detail. Finally, I returned to AI again to enlarge the pictures to deliver higher resolution and manually ensure everything came out nicely. Ended with colour correction and texture application.
