We partnered with Moonbird’s Lunar Society, the Museo para la Identidad Nacional (MIN), and the Universidad de San Pedro Sula (USAP), intending to onboard artists and design students into web3 and NFTs by providing a complete learning experience through a series of interactive workshops in two different cities in Honduras.
In the starter workshop, we focused on teaching basic concepts to the artists about Ethereum, Wallets, and NFTs. We closed with an interactive session where we taught artists how to create their wallets using Metamask.
This workshop was similar to the one in Tegucigalpa, with the difference that it was focused on design Students. We had a couple of artists from San Pedro Sula City.
The goal of this workshop was to polish the web3 skills of the artists, now that they had a wallet, we focused on how to mint an NFT, and types of marketplaces, and even had a live art creation session.
Our main goal in onboarding artists is for them to participate in their first NFT Exhibition, we launched a call for artists and will start curating the pieces that will be part of the exhibition in the Museum in September. We want to encourage the assistance of the general audience so they can see the talent in Honduras and of course, prepare some learning activities for participants and of course for the Moonbirds community.
Stay tuned for the final exhibition and some memorable NFT experiences.
