Latam & Africa Forge Onchain Connections

On Friday, April 19th, a virtual gathering took place, bridging borders and physical distances, bringing together two vibrant communities, H.E.R DAO Kenya and the RhinoCrew group. This event not only marked a connection between continents but also served as a space where ideas, projects, and energy of collaboration and collective growth were shared.

It was an honor to be part of this experience, warmly welcomed and embraced by the H.E.R DAO Kenya community. From the outset, it was evident that a common goal united us: to explore the possibilities and benefits of building on solid foundations in the onchain world.

During the session, we had the opportunity to explore into programs that offer such foundations, such as the Base Grants Program and the Optimism RPGF.

These programs provide financial support and stand as a proof to the commitment to strengthen and empower the next generation of builders, equipping them with the necessary tools and resources to thrive onchain.

Additionally, we explored opportunities for the community to join BASE CAMP, a meticulously designed platform to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to build and deploy smart contracts on Base or any EVM-compatible chain, including Ethereum, Optimism, and many more.

One of the highlights was the innovations of Warpcast, a social network promising to take decentralization to the next level. I am confident that Warpcast will mark a milestone in the evolution of decentralized social networks, offering new possibilities and opportunities for free expression and onchain interaction.

Additionally, we also explore Zora Network. We discussed the ease with which anyone can create within this network.

The event concluded with a question and answer session, where ideas were exchanged, doubts clarified, and visions for the future expressed. All participants shared gratitude for this unique opportunity for connection between Latin America and Africa.

Thank you to H.E.R DAO Kenya, Lavender, Keziah, and Wanjiku for making this space possible.

In conclusion, last Friday's meeting was not just a virtual event but also a significant milestone in building bridges between cultures, communities, and continents. It reminded us that, despite our geographical differences, we are united by our shared passion for innovation, collaboration, and the construction of a more inclusive and sustainable onchain future.
