TL;DR

Phase 1 is over, but there is still plenty to come. Phase 2 ( Voyage II ) has started and you are still early if you are interested in this airdrop. This campaign is built on the Tabichain testnet, which you will need to interact with, and therefore is completely free to participate in.

What is Tabichain?

Tabichain is a scalable Proof-of-Stake blockchain that is fully compatible and interoperable with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). It is built using the Cosmos SDK which runs on top of the CometBFT (a fork of Tendermint Core) consensus engine, to accomplish fast finality, high transaction throughput and short block times (~5 seconds).

Key features:

• EVM Compatibility: Tabichain enables EVM compatibility by implementing various components that together support all the EVM state transitions while ensuring the same developer experience as Ethereum.

• Cosmos SDK: Tabichain enables the full composability and modularity of the Cosmos SDK. As a Cosmos chain, Tabichain is a sovereign blockchain with its own native token that can connect to other chains through IBC.

• CometBFT & ABCI: CometBFT consists of two chief technical components: a blockchain consensus engine and a generic application interface. The consensus engine ensures that the same transactions are recorded on every machine in the same order.

Tabichain focuses on cross-chain innovation so that developers can build entirely new dApp experiences for their users. It’s on a mission to provide the foundational tools necessary for building the cross-chain applications of the future, freeing developers from the confines of today’s siloed blockchains.

The Airdrop

While Phase 1 has concluded, rest assured, the journey is far from over. Up next, we have Tabi Voyage II - The Pirate Island.

Tabi initiated the testnet in March. To join the pirate-themed voyage airdrop, you’ll need to engage and execute transactions on the testnet. We’ll delve into the specifics of getting started with the testnet shortly.

The voyage campaign infuses a dash of excitement into the airdrop with a touch of pirate charm. As you progress through each phase, you’ll traverse the treasure map, discovering hidden treasures along the way.

Signing up for the airdrop

The first thing you should do is sign up for the airdrop.

Head to the Mission Hub to register.

The voyage is invite only, if you need an access code you can use NfhCs

Once registered, click the ‘Missions’ Button.

This will open the mission hub,

Click on your profile tile (the first tile at the top left) and connect your X (Twitter), Discord and Reddit accounts (optional).

Complete the social missions first:

1. Mariner's Meet

2. Reddit Harbor

3. Tabi Treasure Trail

4. Sailor’s Shoutout

For the next mission you will need to add the Tabichain testnet to your wallet.

Adding the Tabichain network to your wallet

The Tabichain testnet will not be natively available on your EVM wallet, so you will need to add it manually.

1. Go to the Tabi testnet explorer: https://testnet.tabiscan.com/

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Add Tabi testnet button

3. Follow the instructions and approve the network.

The icon is of Metamask wallet, but it should work fine with most of the popular EVM wallets. We used Rabby wallet and it worked fine.

If it doesn’t work with your wallet, you can add it manually:

Obtaining Testnet Tokens

To interact with the Tabichain testnet you will need TABI testnet tokens. These can be obtained for free from the official faucet.

• Visit the TABI testnet faucet: https://faucet.testnet.tabichain.com/

• Paste your wallet address in the box and click ‘Request’

• The testnet tokens will be sent to your wallet within a couple of minutes

Once you have received your testnet tokens, you are ready for the next mission.

Mission 5 - Nautical Exchange

For this mission you will need to trade at marketplace arena - buy an NFT and sell an NFT. Remember, this is all done on the testnet, so it will not cost you anything.

• Start the Nautical Exchange Mission.

• Click ‘Go’ on the first task (Buy an NFT) and you will be taken to the marketplace.

• Click ‘Collections’ on the side navigation bar.

• Scroll down the list and find an NFT that you can afford (this will depend on how many testnet TABI tokens you have).

• Buy the NFT and approve in your wallet.

• Once purchased, you can verify the task in the mission hub.

Next you need to sell an NFT

1. Head back to the marketplace.

2. Go to your profile page - click the icon at the top right of the screen a choose ‘Profile’

3. You should see the NFT you purchased, hover over it and click ‘List’

4. Choose your price, then click ‘List Now’

5. Sign the transaction in your wallet.

The NFT is now listed. The act of listing the NFT is not enough to verify the task, you need to sell it. So set the price accordingly and consider repeating this with multiple NFTs to speed up the process. It shouldn’t take long.

Verify the task and you are done.

Mission 6 - Voyage Vanguard

Next up is the Voyage Vanguard.

1. Open the mission and select ‘Go’

2. Mint an NFT on the launchpad.

3. You may need a whitelist to mint, if so, go to the next mission and join a lottery. You can come back to this when you win a whitelist.

4. Once you have minted from the launchpad, verify the mission.

Mission 7 - Tide Rider's Journey

Final mission for now is Tide Rider’s Journey.

1. Open the mission and select ‘Go’

2. This should take you to the ‘Sail’ page, if not click ‘Sail’ on the navigation bar.

3. Join any event that is live.

To join, you need to join their Discord server and acquire the role ‘Voyager‘ which you get when you verify.

Once complete verify the the mission.

That’s all the missions for now (at time of writing). They are designed to get you familiar with the workings of the marketplace.  Check back regularly to see if there are any new missions. You now should have a grasp of the workings of the marketplace, participate regularly, daily if possible, and keep up your engagement.

Mysterious Scrolls, Magic Boxes & Phoenix Feathers

You may have noticed when completing the missions that you were rewarded ‘Mysterious Scrolls’ - you can see how many you have collected at the top right of the mission hub. Scrolls can be exchanged for Phoenix Feathers in a lucky draw. Phoenix feathers directly influence your leaderboard ranking on the platform. The higher you climb the leaderboard, the more enticing the rewards you’ll receive upon the official launch.

The ‘Sailor's Shoutout Station’ mission also rewards you with a Magic Box/Book.

To get your Phoenix Feathers, go to the mission page and you should see a panel in the top right.

Click the ‘Open Treasure Scroll to get Phoenix Feather’ panel.

Standard opening gives you a regular draw and consumes 1 scroll.

Opening with magic gives you a better draw, but consumes 1 Scroll + 1 Magic Box.

Open all your scrolls.

Collect as many Phoenix Feathers as you can.

Captain’s Log

The Captain's Log allows you to view the leaderboard and collect artifacts.

Users can collect various artifacts. The type of artifact you receive is determined by the number of Phoenix Feathers you have. Here’s a breakdown:

• Iron Artifact: Unlocked with 20 Phoenix Feathers.

• Copper Artifact: Unlocked with 200 Phoenix Feathers.

• Silver Artifact: Unlocked with 1000 Phoenix Feathers.

• Gold Artifact: Awarded to the top 500 on the leaderboard.

• Diamond Artifact: Awarded to the top 50 on the leaderboard.

These artifacts are claimed from the Captain’s Log. The more Treasure Scrolls you have, the more Phoenix Feathers you get, leading to a rarer artifact box and a higher airdrop allocation.
