As a method to observe and research the Gamefi industry, Gamefi Industry Monthly Report is generated by the team of Gamefi.Dash, with the purpose to provide an overview of the industry evolvement. This is the version of Dec, 2022, with data coming from the report（Footprint Analytics）.

TL;DR:

• The number of Gamefi users decreased to the lowest point in 2022 but still there were 2.4M new users coming in. The number of new users was the highest in 2H, 2022.

• The transaction amount increased in Dec but transaction value continued to drop, making the transaction value number per user grow up to 28.33USD, which was the highest point in 2022.

• Fundraising amount and value continued to drop, both reaching to the lowest point in 2022.

• BNB is being the chain with the most games and users in Dec.

I. [User]The number of users in Gamefi decreased by 6.936% MoM but new players number increased by 18.4% MoM.

• Total Users: a total of 20 million players in Dec. 1.491 million less than Nov (21.497M).

• New Users: around 2.487 M new users entered Gamefi market in Dec, which is 18.4% higher than Nov(2.1M).

• New User Percentage increased to 12.43% from 9.7% in Nov, but the number of total user hit the lowest point in the whole 2022.

• II. [Transaction] The number of transaction is 14.6% higher than Nov but transaction amount dropped by 20.8%.

• Total number of transaction increased by 14.6% from 630.3M to 722M.

• Total Transaction Value dropped by 20.8% to 79.8M from 100.85M.

• However, the transaction value per user reached the highest point in 2022 to 28.33USD / User, around the same level in July. 2021 (31.65 USD/User).

• III. [Fundraising] Fundraising amount shrank to the lowest point in 2022 in terms of fundraising value as well as the amount.

• The total investment amount dropped to 0.6498 Billion which is only less than 10% of the highest point of April in 2022.

• Among the 44 investment cases in Dec, Web 3 projects taking up 36%, followed by infrastructure investment of 10 cases, 7 cases in defi and 3 in Cefi.

• IV. [Chains] 44 chains are holding Gamefi projects in Dec. 10% lower than Nov (49). BNB continued to be chain with the most Gamefi projects, followed by Ethereum.

• 2,171 games (-0.7% MoM) on 44 chains (-10% MoM) in Dec.

• BNB is holding 747 games, making it the top chains with the most games.

• Ethereum (599) and Polygon (305) followed behind.

• In terms of user amount, BNB is still leading with 8.99M users, followed by Hive (4.8M) and Polygon (2.86M).

• In terms of new users amount, BNB is leading with 1.32M new users, followed by Polygon 0.676M and Arbitrum 0.22M.
