The much-anticipated release of Illuvium's Illuvitars avatars is finally here. On March 7, players will have access to the unique and customizable avatars that will serve as their profile pictures within the Illuvium gaming universe.

An Illuvitar consists of a Portrait and Accessories, providing players with near-infinite customization possibilities. The accessories are "bonded" to the base Portrait, adding an extra layer of randomness and rarity to each avatar. Buyers can customise their Portrait with various accessories, including Headwear, Eyewear, Skin, Bodywear, and Props. Multiple slots can be bonded in a single transaction, providing players with even more options to personalize their Illuvitar.

Some accessories can only be obtained through in-game drops and cannot be directly purchased during the Illuvitar Sale. These rare items can only be acquired by purchasing them from other players through the IlluviDex. Additionally, borders, custom-designed outlines for Illuvitars, can only be achieved through end-of-season rankings and other achievements. These borders are account-bound, meaning that if a player sells their Illuvitar, the border stays tied to their account. Players have the freedom to swap out their borders as they please.

The Illuvitar Sale will take place directly on the IlluviDex, and owners will have the option to resell their Illuvitars on the IlluviDex and other secondary markets. However, sellers must mark their NFTs as "available for sale," which means they cannot use the Illuvitar in-game once listed.
