- (b) It could be something as simple as having participated in hackathons or having developed a functioning smart contract.
For non-techies
If you are someone who is not applying for a technical position here are some pointers:
The good news is that skills are transferable between your web2 and web3 roles.
(a) Show that you are a part of the web3 domain by tweaking your current resume. For instance, you can use a headline such as “Passionate about decentralization”
(b) You can list Discord and Metamask under your skills (yep that counts!)
(c) You can display your NFT instead of your photograph
To start your career in web3 you need to be a self-starter and have a strong sense of initiative. To craft the perfect CV, step into the shoes of a recruiter and try to understand what it is they are looking for. A strong cover letter goes a long way.
Another handy tip is joining decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). Essentially these aim to be open platforms through which individuals control their identities and their personal data.
A word of caution though-
Be careful about the time you are investing in DAOs and the number of DAOs you are associated with. You will need to contribute a lot of time and energy in DAO. So make sure you are compensated as per the amount of time you have invested.
