Part1: Halo wallet latest updates and future plans

Host:

Welcome to the Halo Wallet Twitter space! I am your host Kelvin, the ecosystem partner of Halo Wallet. We have an exciting event ahead with some key insights and updates from the Halo Wallet. Before we dive in, let's take a moment to welcome our guests:

Joining us today are the CEO of Halo Wallet, Jeff and COO Julie. Welcome Jeff and Julie!

Julie:

Hello everyone. I will briefly introduce myself. I'm very glad to be here today for this AMA. My name is Julie. I'm the COO of Halo Wallet. I joined the team in April last year. I oversee Halo Wallet's day-to-day operations and value our customer feedback to ensure we continue to provide the best experience for our users. I believe this AMA will be a great chance for us to share the insights about our work and learn from your perspective. So thank you Kelvin for hosting and thank you everyone for attending today's space.

Jeff:

Welcome guys to join our AMA! I am Jeff, the CEO of Halo Wallet. Today I will share some of my thoughts behind the stage and also will tell you the whole plan of our Halo Wallet business.

Host:

Okay, thank you Jeff and Julie. Now Jeff the stage is yours and I know many of Halo users love the zero fee swap features and I am excited about the socialfi path Halo Wallet is taking. So could you share with our audience the latest updates of Halo Wallet and share some highlights of the future like the development and governance and more.

Jeff:

Of course I have read a long script about this and okay here we begin. For me, as the captain of the Halo crew, it's my duty to tell you what we are doing and where we plan to go. Although I wrote many letters to tell you our narrative, it may still not be systematic or articulate enough.

Today we have 1 hour. I think it's enough for us to talk about our product and business and hope you won't get bored.

So, let's begin.

As you know, Halo is a social wallet. Our vision is quite different from any other wallets. They want to build a good crypto management tool and gain profits via your onchain swap or maybe on/off ramp, but on the contrary, we want to use the financial ability of wallet to help you guys earn money with your social data and social network.

Does this work? My answer is absolutely yes. Because there is an enormous unreasonable distribution of personal data value.

We all live in the Web3 world, and we talk about data ownership every day, but the absurd thing is we apparently can not protect our own data. You sign transactions every day, and all the value of these transactions has been exploited by third party companies and you earn nothing.

There are lots of data analytics platforms over there, and I bet you can name some of them easily. They take advantage of public onchain data for free and use it to do some market analysis to sell to their subscribers at quite an expensive price. Not even 1 penny goes into your pocket.

We emphasize data ownership, but the truth is we are being exploited everyday without awareness.

Sounds ridiculous right?

This is exactly what we want to change. Everyone deserves to be paid when someone or some entity uses your data in their business.

It's a grand vision and we need to build it from the ground up. In general, there are three things to do.

First, we need to manage a way to help you protect personal privacy. Second, we need to build a DID system to let you grant the permission of your data in a flexible way. And last, we need to build a strong Web3 social platform so that the advertisers would like to promote their product in Halo Wallet and you can earn your dividends if you grant your DID to us.

Now I think you are basically clear about what we gonna do.

About the first one privacy protection, there are some potential ways to solve it technically, but only a wallet can globally solve this issue from the very beginning. Of course, EOA wallet is not a feasible way to solve it, but AA wallet is. We will shift our focus from EOA to AA next year's Q1, and we have already started to design the basic structure of it.

Second, let's dive into a little bit about DID. Technically, DID is not hard to develop, but if we want to achieve the most exact user profile, we must know the behaviour of every user in every transaction.

Since not all the data related to transactions is recorded on blockchain, such as gamefi and some other hybrid structure Dapps and with the adoption of AA wallet, on chain data won't be totally transparent any more. It's an excellent opportunity for us to build advantages in the data analytics field.

We will manage a way to collaborate with other Dapps or maybe AA wallets to get the most accurate data, and users from each side can mine both airdrops with just one transaction.

It's a win-win cooperation.

Last and also the most understandable part is social networking.

As you can see, we have a social feed homepage on Halo Wallet App, it's the core to build social connections and gain personal social influence for all users. It's not perfect now and we will add more interactive features to let the community find out the high quality content themselves.

Currently, we can only find good content manually, but we plan to use an algorithm to achieve this and will make the formula public and each of the weights in it will be decided by you guys via decentralized governance.Okay, this is pretty much what I want to share. Okay, back to Kevin.Okay, this is pretty much what I want to share. Okay, back to Kevin.

Host:

Thanks Jeff for your insightful updates about the on chain data analytics, the trigger network and the development of your decentralized governance. It's great to hear about those things coming away. And now maybe let's hear from Julie, COO of Halo Wallet. I know you have completed the meeting of the Genesis NFT Pass in October and I believe everyone in the community is waiting for more exciting updates about the past and also the project itself. Julie, could you enlighten us about Halo wallets marketing actions and collaborations and also maybe share with us the latest plans for the NFT Pass?

Julie:

Thank you. Of course, I can share our recent and future market collaboration plans, as well as the development of Halo Wallet Genesis Pass that our community is concerned about.

As Jeff just introduced, we have a lot of new product features coming online in Q4, including new chain integration like ZKsync and Linea,a powerful swap and on/off ramp router, and optimizations of the socialfi user experience. Our marketing activities will closely align with our product iteration plans. That is to say, after the completion of product integration, we will successively carry out PR releases and marketing campaigns with these top-notch partners.

We sincerely invite everyone to experience our new product features. At that time, there will be plenty of airdrop benefits waiting for you. You are expected to get various token airdrops, NFTs, and whitelist slots from our partners. Of course, we believe that cooperation with these leading projects, such as KuCoin, Zksync, Animoca brand, Mercuryro, will greatly enhance our brand influence and help increase public awareness of Halo Wallet.

Our team is committed to creating a seamless and secure Web3 social wallet experience, and our Genesis Pass is a significant part of that commitment.

The Genesis Pass is a limited collection, with only 2,100 available. The free minting event successfully concluded last month and became the TOP 1 membership NFT collection that day on Opensea. If you minted a free one, you already gained at least 30X profit. But if you failed to mint, you can now buy it from Opensea or other NFT marketplaces.

Halo Wallet Genesis Pass is designed for our loyal supporters, aiming to provide them with a range of unique privileges and exclusive benefits within the Halo ecosystem. We hope to inspire more Web3 users to engage with our ecosystem and further share the development success of the platform. The Genesis Pass serves as the core value driver for building the most active SocialFi ecosystem, incorporating Social2Earn, Trade, pro features, and airdrop into a single NFT ecosystem.

Regarding the utilities of the Genesis NFT Pass, we have already realized some benefits, including earning XP by holding the Genesis NFT Pass, access to posting and enjoying free Swap benefits with the Genesis NFT Pass. These are just the beginning, and we will further enrich the rights of the Genesis NFT Pass. Notably, holders can not only enjoy economic, product, and governance privileges within the halo platform, but also the ecological benefits from our partners.

We are advancing a joint membership plan aiming to integrate digital asset ecosystem resources across multiple platforms, continue to empower our Genesis Pass holders.

We are excited about the partnerships we are forming and the opportunities these collaborations will bring to our users. So, let's dive in. I'm ready to answer any questions you may have about the operations, our team, our market collaborations or the Genesis Empty Pass. That's pretty much I can share. We can move to the QA part maybe.

Host:

I must congratulate those who have successfully minted their NFT passes with the 30 time profits is quite awesome. It's very clear that Halo Wallet is at the forefront of your intimate innovative partnerships and development. And sure now we can move on to the other session of today's AMA. We have collected some questions from the community beforehand and Jeff and Julie we would love to hear your thoughts on those questions. So maybe let's move to the first question from the community we have collected before.

Part2: The Q&A Section

Q1:

I believe in math more than blockchain. The crypto market is in a downturn and this creates uncertainty for users, which makes them invest less and less in new projects. So, can you explain the reasons why users should participate and invest in the development of Halo Wallet?

Jeff:

First, I'm not that pessimistic, I think we have already entered an upturn. Maybe the trend is not quite clear now, but trust me you will see it next year.

Second, about why you should invest in Halo. After the introduction of Julie and I, you may already have your own answer about this. We're not trying to build a similar business like Metamask or Trust, we have quite a unique narrative and also backed by a lot of partners. Both our team and our community are strong enough to land the vision. If you want to grab your data ownership back and monetize it, we're your best investment choice.

Q2:

Can you share more details about the loyalty program?

Julie:

I'll take this question. I think it's a very good time to mention our Halo XP system. Halo XP is a lower program designed to reward our valuable contributions to the hero ecosystem. That means all of your valuable behaviors on this platform will be recorded and rewarded through the Halo XP. So how to get XP? I will give a brief introduction. You can now earn Halo XP by actively contributing from holding Genesis Pass to completing the daily task. In addition, a series of campaigns will be rolled out soon, including training tournaments for bounty content creators and the referral program. And participants will have more chances to get extra XP rewards. And please remember that the XP Center is a dynamic and involving system that grows with our users and more new ways to earn XP points are coming soon.

You may still be asking what XP does for me? As I mentioned, we want to build a very active social ecosystem which requires some more builders to join us. Only 2100 Genesis Pass are far from enough. For the launch of the Genesis Pass, Halo Wallet will gradually roll out the membership Pass which will consist of 5 different levels with users being able to progress. So by accumulating the XP, different levels represent different benefits and different points accumulation rates. The specifics of the benefits tied to each membership level will be disclosed later on our social media.

At the same time, users with a Genesis Pass can gain more XP early and unlock the benefits of VIP membership faster than those without a pass. Halo XP will be mapped to the token system and further integrate your rewards within the Halo ecosystem.

And I know everyone is very concerned about the token airdrop. So we do have a plan. The token airdrop represents a crucial phase in the evolution. It serves as a bond connecting all our stakeholders towards a decentralized future. We're very excited about the potential of the loyalty program and the chances it presents for our users. And we believe by rewarding your valuable contributions, we can better create a more engaged, vibrant and dynamic Halo community. Some of these details about the airdrop plan are still in flux, but the core principle is very simple: The more you contribute to the community, the more tokens you stand to receive. More details will be announced later. That's it.

Q3:

Can we know about the journey of our CEO Jeff into the crypto world

And how he became the CEO of Halo wallet?

Jeff:

Okay, good question. I just tell you guys about our business plan, but I I didn't introduce myself and also maybe you're very curious about our team.

I think I can give you a whole introduction about these two parts. First about myself, I joined this industry in 2017. Some audiences may know that the Chinese government banned crypto trading at that time. When I heard this I was like, oh oh man, this crypto thing is super cool! It is gonna be a big issue so I must dive into it. This is the beginning of the story and then I jump into this industry and find a job.

My first job in crypto was in IND capital. You may not familiar with this name but the ever invested in name base and the founder of Namebase created a notable NFT marketplace, the name is Blur.

And after that, I joined the Tron Foundation, and built the top one wallet on the Tron network at that time. Julie was my colleague too. After Tron, I joined Huobi and Coupon and was responsible for the web 3 business.

And now I'm the founder of Halo. I think you all know about this. No need for an introduction.

And about our team, we have about 20 teammates and most of our teammates are engineers. Just like I mentioned, Julie was my colleague in Tron and she also worked for ByteDance, which is the parent company of TikTok.

So in summary, our team has genes from Web 3 and the social applications. So this is why I'm so confident we will have a big potential on this. And Halo Wallet gonna be a big theme in the next ball.

Q4:

Do you have a plan for Halo Wallet users to be able to post videos to the Halo Wallet app?

Julie:

I can give some ideas about this question.

So first of all, I'm very glad that the user brought that up because that means the user has been a holder of our Genesis pass, right? And maybe he has started to post some content on our platform. That's why he proposed that.

Currently our post feature only supports the text and images, which can satisfy like 80% of the creator's content's needs. And we believe the text and images allow users to control their rating, speed and their time more efficiently. And they will enable creators to express their views and ideas more efficiently. And of course, video format is becoming increasingly popular on social media platforms due to its strong visual and auditory creation. We love that as well. However, video playback requires a certain amount of time and cannot be quickly browsed like text and images. It is more restricted by the device capability and language limitations. Therefore, we will continue to oversee and watch our user's needs. If more and more people in the community require to support the videos for Halo wallets, we will definitely support more various media in the future.

Q5:

Do you have any plans to collaborate with other web 3 projects and what's your revenue model? Are you confident that this project will last for a long term?

Julie:

I can answer this question. Of course we will collaborate with other projects and we will launch a big one very soon just like I mentioned. About the revenue, I think a small part of it comes from the swap fee just like some other wallets. But the biggest share of our income in the future will comes from the social fan business such as as business ads and also the digital assets selling and maybe social trading etcetera since what we're doing is a certify business. So there will be plenty of scenarios for us to make profit. To be honest, I think it's not gonna be a big problem cuz a lot of web 2 or big web 2 companies can earn a lot.

We will divide a big amount of this income to you guys cuz only you give us the permission of your data then we can help the advisors to promote their products. Some of the dividends will go into your pocket.

Q6:

May I know if there are any big future plans for Genesis NFT? You should plan for Genesis NFTs so that the NFT price increases by 50x the value. And a very important thing is to make your project viral to increase users.

Julie:

This is actually a very great question. So we can have the chance to dive into the big future plans about the Genesis Pass. So first of all, I strongly agree with the viewpoint that to increase the price of the Genesis Pass, we definitely need to provide holders with more valuable rights and benefits and attract more users to enter the market. Just like he said, go viral. The genesis pass plays a very important role in the Halo ecosystem.

It's not just a utility. It's like your web 3 identity. All of your actions and data value in the web 3 word will be bound to your genesis pass. So by holding the genesis pass, you can unlock all the VIP rights on the Halo platform, including economic products and governance rights.

Currently, we have realized some of the benefits, including earning XP and only the passholders can post and enjoy the free swap benefits.Regarding the governance, we are willing to hand over some key decisions of the platform to the community. But this will be a very long process and very complicated, and can't be achieved overnight.

We will start with some simple community votes such as, they can decide which influencer to invite or which public chains to integrate. These are just the beginning and we will further enrich the rights of the Genesis Entity Pass.

I have to mention that holders can not only enjoy the rights within the platform, but also you can enjoy the ecological benefits from our partners. Actually, we want to introduce a new plan of joint membership across multiple platforms that aims to integrate the digital asset ecosystem resources that allowing our Genesis Pass holders to enjoy membership benefits across multiple platforms.

The advantage of joint membership is that it operates across categories, builds a content ecosystem, meets the needs of different levels, and the membership system covering omni-channel and multi-category is more attractive.

So after creating a membership system that suits us, we will continue to provide more membership permission models, integrate cross-border and cross-ecological application scenarios, and provide members with more diverse and better services. I think this will be the trend in the next few years, to meet not only the essential but also the psychological needs of users. Users will also be willing to pay for it, become the members or recommend the product to their friends. We're about to officially announce our exciting partnership with a well-known blue chip NFT partner and the benefits you can enjoy will double. We believe this new partnership will result in a more than 10 times increase in the price of the Genesis Pass. Guys, please stay tuned.

Q7:

It's not easy to build a social wallet project that can track a web3 portfolio. But you made it just for us community members. even though the development process is still ongoing, you mint 2,100 NFTs worth $40/NFT and share them with community members for free. as well as a free swap feature.

My question:

What will our future be like as community members if the start of this project journey has provided many benefits for us?

Jeff:

It's not 40$ mate, it's almost 70$ per Genesis Pass.

And about your question, we do provide some profits for our community members, but it's still not enough. We believe every transaction has its own value, The greater your social influence, the higher the price per transaction. We hope Halo Wallet can be a place to help you gain more social connections and along with its monetization profits.

Hold your Pass tightly, many surprises ahead.

Q8:

What strategies does Halo Wallet have in place to ensure the security and safety of user's access and data, especially in the context of evolving cyber security threats in the blockchain and crypto space?

Jeff:

I think this is just what we are good at.

Cuz for me, I started to build a cryptocurrency wallet in 2019 and I built the traveling wallet for Tron Foundation and also the Huobi Wallet for the Huobi Exchange, also the Coupon Wallet for the coupon ecosystem.

I think Halo Wallet is my fourth one and we never experienced any like the asset loss. We have kept it 100% safety for about many years. So I think among the EOA wallets, we are experts. Just like I mentioned that next year we will shift our focus from EOA to AA wallet that mostly focus on the smart contract side. So before we release it we will like to invite some of the top cybersecurity companies to help us audit the smart contract and also we will make all the certificates public.

Q9:

Why don’t you partner with some hype project is to focus on a huge user to know your ecosystem fundamental cries ongoing in the Halo team?

Julie:

This is a challenge for me. No, I'm just joking. This is an interesting point.

So before we proceed, I would like to share some data with you guys. Since Hello Wallat launched in July last year, Halo wallet has had a significant growth in the user base. We have over 1 million active addresses and with over 100K monthly active users with a monthly retention rate over 49%, which is much higher than the other web 3 wallets. And this indicates that we currently don't face that much pressure in terms of the user growth. And over the past years, we have managed to achieve this growth organically without investing in any advertising. And all our users are from organic traffic. So we believe that our focus on understanding and meeting user needs has led to an increasing number of the users using our products.

On the other hand, I understand the appeal of partnering with hyped projects to gain more users. It's definitely correct. However, it's important to remember that our primary goal as a social wallet is to provide reliable service to our users, right? So our focus is on improving our technology, ensuring the privacy and the security of the user's data and maintaining the trust of our users. So partnering with the hyped projects can sometimes have conflicts to the interest or compromise security of the financial. It's also important to consider the suspect sustainability of these projects. While they may be popular now, there is no guarantee they will remain in the future. That being said, we are always willing to explore partnerships that align with our mission and values and enhance the experience of our users. If you're a long time user of Halo Wallet, you would have noticed that we have always been extremely cautious in the choice of the partners. Our past collaborations, such as 1inch, Polygon and Space ID, have all withstood the test of the market and been carefully run over a long period of time. So in the future we will continue to use these standards to select our partners and bring more surprises and high quality service to our users. We have a series of partnership PRs coming up, so many of which include the big names that you will be familiar with and we believe these collaborations will bring more exposure to the Halo Wallet brand. We hope that our safe and trustworthy brand image can become deeply ingrained in people's minds.

Q10:

I have a question about Genesis Pass. What happens if we just put two passes in one account? Is there any more benefit than normal?

Julie:

In general, we hope everyone only has one Genesis Pass because it's like your web3 ID. You don't need many IDs in the web 3 word, right? And indeed, we have noticed these points and some people have asked this question in our community, we always keep an eye on it.

We respect and protect the rights and interest of every user and we will take necessary actions to ensure all the incentives are fair and just. We will filter out the real users from multiple technical dimensions such as the user's activity and the number of the on-chain transactions or the associations between the addresses. So whether they hold an NFT pass, we have to ensure that real users can receive the airdrop rewards. And as for our core users, the Genesis Pass holders, please believe that we will further enrich the rights and benefits of your Genesis Pass. For users who hold the Genesis Pass for a long time we will give an extra bonus. Hope my answer can satisfy you.

Q11:

So do the Genesis pass holders get separate allocation for airdrop?

Julie:

I would say that we will give the airdrop according to your contributions, not just according to if you hold the analysis pass. The core principle of the airdrop is very simple. The more you contribute to the community, the more airdrops you will receive.

Jeff:

Yes. I think this is also why we do not want one person to have a lot of Genesis Passes. Because in the social industry or maybe in the Halo Wallet ecosystem, we don't want the people who have a lot of money to control the whole ecosystem. We want some people who like the socialfi things and want to grow with us. We like users who are willing to contribute more to our ecosystem, especially on the content part.

Q12:

Is the partnership ongoing related to Mocaverse? And Halo wallet will be connected with Mocha ID?

Julie:

You mean the marketing collaboration? Yes, we have a big plan to roll out soon and it's releted to more Mocaverse and Animoca. So stay tuned for the big news.

Q13:

I'm eagerly waiting for the post to earn XP for the Genesis holder. Can you tell me when it will come?

Julie:

I think it's still under development. The function will be available to some creators, not all of the Genesis Pass holders because we want to make sure the quality is good.

So I guess the time will be expected in December.

Host:

Okay, great. Thank you Jeff and Julie for joining us today and sharing the insights. Also thanks to our audience for the very thoughtful questions.

Before the end, here's a reminder about the rewards for this Twitter Space. So those whose questions were selected from the AMA questionnaire of the community and from the audience just now will receive 20 XP from Halo Wallet. So congratulations to the winners and the Halo Wallet team will reach out to you.

It's a wonderful time with all of you and let's keep an eye on more exciting updates from Halo Wallet. Have a great day everyone!
