The League of Kingdoms (LOK) project, once hailed as a decentralized gaming platform, has instead become a breeding ground for mismanagement, deceit, and discrimination. After thoroughly examining their actions, we bring to light the six major offenses that have severely damaged players' rights and trust.
1⃣ Misappropriation of 100M LOKA Staking Rewards A staggering 100 million LOKA, which constitutes 20% of the total token supply, was supposed to be distributed as staking rewards to the players. However, these rewards have mysteriously vanished. To date, no LOKA has been distributed, and the team has provided no explanation regarding the missing funds. This lack of transparency raises serious concerns about the integrity of the project.
2⃣ Deceptive Land Sales LOK encouraged players to purchase land, but the reality is that no single account can sustainably maintain land. When players attempt to create multiple accounts to manage their land effectively, they face permanent bans, trapping them in a vicious cycle of losses and forcing them to exit the game at a significant financial deficit. This tactic can only be described as predatory.
3⃣ Breach of Land Reward Promises Initially, LOK promised 25 million LOKA as rewards for landholders, representing 5% of the total token supply. However, after the land sales concluded, the project team unilaterally reduced the rewards multiple times. Moreover, they replaced the stablecoin DAI rewards with LOKA tokens, which subsequently plummeted by over 95% in value. Despite this, in 2023, land rewards were slashed by an additional 20%, further betraying the landholders.
4⃣ False Advertising of Genesis Dragon Returns The project heavily promoted the Genesis Dragon and Legendary parts, promising extra staking rewards. However, these rewards were never delivered, leaving early investors feeling deceived and cheated. This false advertising has had lasting impacts on the community's trust.
5⃣ Chaotic Game Management The game's internal management has become increasingly chaotic. In particular, MODs (Moderators) are now acting as both players and referees, giving them unchecked power over the game. This has led to blatant abuses, such as targeting rival continents with mass reports, resulting in the banning of entire alliances. Such practices completely undermine the fairness of the game.
6⃣ Tolerance of Racism Perhaps most troubling is the widespread racial discrimination in the LOK community. Chinese players face constant hostility and prejudice, where simply using the Chinese language is enough to be labeled as a bot and kicked from alliances without any investigation. This toxic environment has escalated to the point where racism has permeated the entire community.
Conclusion: A Call for Action The League of Kingdoms project has fallen far short of its promises, leaving countless players—particularly from the Chinese community—permanently banned, with their land, dragons, and investments lost. This not only represents a failure of management but also runs completely counter to the fundamental principles of decentralization and player empowerment.
We urge all affected players to speak up and hold the project team accountable for their actions. Decentralization should mean fairness, transparency, and trust—not exploitation.
