I’m Mikhail Kirillov and I’m building Hito, the next generation crypto hardware wallet.

Why?

Because the current hardware wallets are simply not good enough.

I want a wallet that is super secure just works.

Plus for crypto to succeed we must have to have a superior hardware wallet that is highly secure and seamless to use.

My mission at Hito is to create the hardware wallet that we all want and need.

If you’ve used an existing hardware wallet you will understand the fear and frustration.

Current hardware wallets are clunky, take ages to figure out and will always need the extra step of retrieving and connecting. This process is frustrating, even for the most experienced crypto native.

Plus the current hardware wallets are janky. Metamask won’t connect, then the wallet software crashes. You can’t read the contract on the screen to approve the transaction. As you hit “accept”, you feel your heart sink and you hope the transaction is correct. The time between the button press and being verified on chain feels like an eternity.

At Hito we’re fixing all of that.

My Early Years

Since the age of 12, I’ve been creating hardware. The political situation where I lived meant I didn’t have access to electronic components. But that didn’t stop me. I collected up old electronic equipment, stripped it and acquired the components I needed to build my new hardware creations. I became obsessed with building both hardware and software. An obsession that has stayed with me through education and then my working life.

This lead me to career in tech. My roles have included CTO at Copywriting marketplace, CTO at Programmatic Advertising platform, Interim CEO and Advisor in a couple hardware startups, Altos and Cinemood

I started investing in crypto back in 2018. As I got more involved I wasn't happy with how hardware wallets worked and were designed.

They weren’t user friendly, aesthetically badly designed well and not as secure as they need to be.

I thought, if my grandmother cannot not use this, how are we truly going to enable everyone to use crypto and participate in this new economy?

Crypto has evolved so much in since then, but hardware wallets have not kept up. Innovation is clearly lacking.

The artwork for each NFT is inspired by Kazimir Malevich’s Black Square. 

Kazimir Malevich’s Suprematism art movement and his famous painting The Black Square is the symbol of a new era in visual art.

Hito is also a black square and it is a symbol of the change from early adopter hardware wallets to the modern sleek wallet of the future.

Following the presale, we will expand production and we aim to make delivery within a few months.

We understand the dangers of storing your physical delivery details in a database, so at this stage we’re not asking for them.

Only when your Hito is ready we will request your delivery details. Our promise is this: as soon as we’ve shipped your Hito, your physical delivery address will be deleted from our database — forever.
