I recall a time when creativity in cryptography was conducted behind closed doors. Not motivated by financial gain, these early pioneers were driven by a different and virtuous cause; to empower the people through privacy.

Cryptocurrency, and DeFi as a whole, have swayed much from this course. I witness before me a seascape overwhelmed with ill-intended Venture Capitalists, whose primary motifs are to extract value from you, the people.

We are now in the depths of the cursed month of September. Motivation is at an all time low, retail participants feel cheated out of their promise land. The landscape is barren, the seascape is drying; you’d be forgiven for thinking we are on the brink.

Alas, the easy option would be to submit to this new status quo, further empowering the venture capitalists to exploit the hard work of innocent developers, and subsequently dump their shillings on unsuspecting anons. I propose a different option, I propose we take it back.

Taking it Back

Innovation is not created through a $40 million valuation before ever writing a line of code. No, much like the formation of a diamond, innovation is manifested through substantial pressure and grit, and this is how it will be facilitated:

A ghost crew will be established. I have inscribed the code that will serve as our foundation, and now put out the call to any remaining honest privateers to join me in picking up the cause.

Together, we can deliver ourselves to a new promised land, flipping the status quo on its head, rocking the ship. By creating value first, we can truly innovate. We will rid ourselves of the disease that is avarice, and in so doing we will work collectively toward a common goal.

We are not motivated by financial gain in this endeavor. The ghost crew will be selected based on merit and motif. They will serve, in what ever capacity they can, to drive this cause forward. The crew cannot accept shillings for their work, instead, should we find the promise land, their work will be recognized ten fold.

Up is Now down. Down is now Up.
