As a digital collectible project focused on culture and technology, it made sense to have our first introductory article be an introduction to our core team. Created originally in 2022 by Orb as a way to stay busy and fight off depression, Iterative quickly turned into something more meaningful and culturally significant, and the team grew from there.

There are many projects out there on the blockchain, that are not collaborative in nature. Many of them are single-effort, single-purpose projects focused solely on making profit. The majority of them are rugs, run by groups of scammers who know how to take advantage of a manipulated market. Iterative is neither of these things.

While all seamless loops have been generated by code written by Orb, the project is very collaborative in nature. It has, in fact, involved into the product of a group of friends that met through NFT culture, and have worked on multiple projects together in the past. Here’s a breakdown of our core members.

The Team

Our team is spread out across North America, Europe, and South Asia. We are a diverse group of artists and devs, with specific focuses in different areas. Our commonalities lie in our exposure to, and experience with on-chain projects, as well as hands-on experience with creating products for public consumption. Additionally, we are all Internet and web3 natives; culturally tethered at a core level.

Orb - Founder | Code | Artist

After a couple of decades experience with development and web design, Orb started selling NFTs in Spring of 2021, and has worked on numerous PFP and collectible projects since. A core member of CFW’s Stacyverse & Pillheads Generative team, he has ongoing experience with all facets of building and dropping NFT projects.

With experience in both physical and digital art, he is focused primarily on turning Iterative into a brand that tethers nostalgic tech culture of the 80s and 90s, with modern technologies. Want a cassette tape that doubles as a USB disk? How about a NES™ cartridge with a functional Ledger™ wired into it? His vision for this project goes beyond digital marketplaces.

Moon - Contract Dev | Code Advisor

Moon has been working with blockchain technology since 2017. Having worked on building numerous projects like token.gallery and Curio Cards, he brings an invaluable level of insight with on-chain projects. His experience allows for creative solutions, and helps pave the way for what the future of projects may look like. Foresight like his is rare.

Orb and Moon met in person at NFT NYC, back in 2021, and immediately went down a rabbit hole, reminiscing over 90s Internet culture. Growing up with the code, the culture, and the industry that shaped what the Internet is today, they both share nostalgia for old technology, and enthusiasm for what the future holds.

CFW - Marketing Assets | Project Advisor

CFW is a digital artist that has been selling his art as NFTs since Spring of 2021, and is the creator of the Stacyverse, and Pillheads Generative. He is one of the most talented 3D artists in the space, and has a knack for mixing themes of nostalgia, fun, and zen in his work. His collaborative work with major projects and artists on the blockchain gives him insight on the space that is unparalleled.

Orb started working with CFW at the start of 2022, and has been a part of his core team ever since. It’s kind of ironic (but not really), that CFW is now working on Iterative with Orb. While they have never met in person, they are tight friends, and can be found shitposting on Twitter and Discord regularly.

Flashfox - Web Development & Design

Flashfox is an artist and web developer that has been a consistent member of the NFT community since the Spring of 2021. She is the co-founder of Kiki City, where she worked as an artist, creative director, game developer, community manager and more. She has worked with Props and has been a front end developer for numerous NFT projects.

Orb and Flashfox have met in person multiple times now, and have worked on multiple projects together. In fact, Orb’s first PFP project gig was with Kiki City, which led to a very tight friendship with Flash. They share experience with art, web development, and digital collectible project drops, which makes it easier to actualize the vision for Iterative.

c_mrlx - Project Development | Consulting

A mathematician researching probabilistic consensus protocols on blockchains, c_mrlx has a deep understanding of the mechanics of crypto networks. As an art collector and project builder, he also brings a unique perspective from outside the experience of digital collectible artists.

Orb and c_mrlx have met in person, in addition to working on NFD projects together for some time now. With a shared view of ethical behavior when it comes to communities, they care deeply about transparency and honesty, especially when it comes to projects in NFT spaces.

Team Ethos

As a team, we are essentially decentralized to the core. While Orb may be the founder, there is no real ring leader. The team defers to Moon on any blockchain related decisions. CFW has full control over digitally created marketing assets. Flash builds the website how she wants to. C_mrlx has control over how the Discord bot is built. Orb writes the iterations’ code, and decides which ones are good, and which ones are trash.

We are all active every day in digital art and development spaces, and communicate with each other regularly. Fully collaborative, the team’s ethos is centered around the notion that everyone should be encouraged to excel in their respective areas of focus. We learn and grow together, and check each other when things don’t seem right. We listen and we learn as a group.

One of the most unique aspects of our team, is how we have all stuck it through the highs and lows of the digital art market and cryptocurrency fluctuations, and don’t really give a flying fu*k about the lows so much anymore. Things are up? We’re building. Things looking down? We’re building. We’ve all made it this far with each other’s help, and we will continue to move forward as a digital tribe.

We build because we share ideals of decentralization, open source, and an Up Only attitude to the projects we create. We all lead multi-faceted lives on and off of web3, and are excited about the intersections of the digital and physical we are about to explore. We are hyper-focused on building a community that is built on integrity and transparency, that encourages others to collaborate as both artists and developers.

While we are mostly a stealth project, we are not stealth people - and our funding is also transparent. Focused on organic growth, we’re funding the project with these **minting passes **that also double as discounted rate pre-sales; holders receive an iteration (airdropped, no gas!) on day of mint, and have the option to mint two more at a discounted rate as well. In addition to this, every development cycle will airdrop a custom iteration into holders’ wallets.
