Hey there. You can call me Jack, and I’m a hypercreator. What does that mean to me?
Being a hypercreator means creating fulfilling music, art, and ideas that can live on with or without me. This includes music, graphics, videos, experiences, and whatever else comes through this prism.
My creative style embraces all mediums for the sake of passionate storytelling, transformation, and awakening. You can find some of my most recent creations here.
As I packed up my things to move out of my parents’ home a few months ago, my dad said to me: “It really seems like you’ve found your way, Jack.
I’m fortunate to be no stranger to the words “I love you” and “I’m proud of you.” However, this new recognition that I had “found my way” touched me softly, with warmth and tangible appreciation.
My dad was referring to my “success” within Web3: which has included challenging and informative experiences with Songcamp and CHAOS, community-building opportunities with Tribly, and a crew of close friends and collaborators I’ve met throughout this journey so far.
Just as I have been finding my way within this world, I can’t help but notice a sense of being found: the absorption into something bigger, more expansive, and often beyond words.
To help explain this feeling and ultimately for some good ol’ creative fun, I’ve come up with my own terminology to describe this “bigger thing.”
WAYSPACE is the name I’ve given to the dimension of awareness that lies within us, both collectively and individually. Always available to be called upon, but often overlooked.
Depending on your background or conditioning, some other related names for this might be Life, The Tao, Life Energy, Consciousness, God(dess), Dharma, The Subtle Body, The Buddha Body, Brahman, The Atman, The Self, Christ, The Great Work, Universe, Chaos, Heaven, etc.
Regardless of path, a mystical experience of this moment allows us to connect behind the names, forms, and stories. WAYSPACE is that expansive “place” where we meet in union.
The intention behind WAYSPACE is to embrace and explore questions like:
How can our experience of listening and speaking guide us to our most sincere core?
How can we allow the sharing of our truths to be both cathartic and mindful?
What can we discover about how much we have to give this world and our peers through suffering, insight, and wisdom?
How do our stories impact our states of mind, and what can we learn about ourselves from listening to others’ stories?
WAYSPACE represents an opening, both within ourselves and outside of ourselves.
WAYSPACE also serves as both my debut album and music NFT project, the latter of which is being released between now and October 31st when the full album will be available to the public.
Conceptually, WAYSPACE is a puzzle, but to put it together we must first collect the pieces. It began with a free Map to Wayspace, which is available for a free mint via Zora Create.
Every Monday from now until Halloween, two song-pieces of this album-puzzle will drop, giving everyone the opportunity to collect their own pieces of WAYSPACE. The first two songs-pieces are now available to mint here. On top of that, every Friday I will airdrop exclusive lyric videos to any traveler who mints the songs of that week.
That means that this Friday I airdrop the first two lyric videos to travelers that hold one or both of the first two songs: Welcome Back & How It Ends. Collecting all 12 pieces will allow travelers to receive even more surprise airdrops for completing the puzzle!
We have until the album drops on Halloween to collect our map & pieces. After Halloween, minting will no longer be available. Stay up to date with minting and listen to the music at wayspace.app. We’ve also got our travelers’ home base setup at intheway.space.
Creating this album has been a process of completing a puzzle. The songs came together in their own time, and once I could recognize that WAYSPACE had formed, I knew I was ready to release it to you.
I’m so proud of this album. It’s my best work, most fulfilling work, and most eye opening music I’ve ever made. The challenges, love, suffering, peace, and sheer joy that went into making it are undeniable and deserve their own stories.
With the fun and creative experience of making NFT rollouts, it can be easy to lose sight of the DAMN MUSIC. I’m so proud of how this rollout is shaping up, but that will always pale in comparison to the music & love that are at its heart.
Thank you to my collaborators and friends for making this music possible. The best part about onboarding your friends for the splits is their fresh perspective, opening my eyes to what matters most for this project: the music.
Over the course of this project release I aim to release video breakdowns of each song, breaking down the lyrics, intention, and process from my point of view.
This music would not be possible without Fabrizio, Alex Purdy, Christina Patti, Josh Grant, Jake Vicious, Nikko Miles, 3astman, sensu, nanimal, Dean Emerson, and tiem collaborating on this music with me.
This entry is the first in a yet-to-be-determined series of entries that chronicle our collective travels through WAYSPACE. My mission is to use and be used by creativity as a catalyst for transformation and awakening. It all begins with surrender.
I feel immense gratitude for my peers that have played a crucial role in these travels, and I hope to provide as much value to them as they have to me. Thank you to my teammates sweetman.eth and singnasty/ for their collaboration on this NFT project.
Thanks so much for reading all the way to the end! If you have any questions or ideas, reach out. See ya in WAYSPACE.
